Been a member here for a while and unfortunately I do not own a focus anymore, car accident. I own a ford fusion now. I have been online trying to find a forum for fusion owners with the same type of active community. There is none! There all pretty lame IMO. Can you please open a ford fusion fanatics?

What are, Fusions? I have to disagree there. They're best in their class compared to Camry's, Accords, Altimas, etc.... IMO

Minus one, FSWERKS had a Fusion SEMA Project come out, that Fusion is now owned by Egz on here.

Here's the car:

263hp @ 6,250 for the 3.5L Duratec model and 175 @ 6,000 for the 2.5L Duratec (the lowest model)? not the suck, and they're actually pretty nice.

exactly what i was thinking. most fusions will stay stock and it would be a really slow moving forum. people wuld just be asking about problems with their car. hell, even that will take a while to happen with cars under warranty. not real profitable for someone to open a forum about

Former Focus ST owner, now driving a Fusion. I will agree with you, there are few forums with as enthusiastic crowd as here. Probably the best one I've ran across is www.fordfusionclub.com

Steeda has a good variety (both performance and cosmetic) of products for the Fusion, and many Mazda 6 suspension and brake pieces interchange easily.

jesus. I get quoted 7000000000 times. They are the suck for modding. there is no aftermarket for them.

now someone can requote me another 1000 times

ZX4STDoug
09-20-2009, 05:48 PM
Actually you were quoted 3 times, not 7000000000.

And if you did any form of research at all you'd see there IS a fair amount of aftermarket support for the car.

The Focus has been out since model year 2000. That's 11 model years counting 2010s. The Fusion came out in 2006. Some simple math will tell anyone that there's been considerably more time for aftermarket companies to introduce parts, both performance and cosmetic for the Focus than the Fusion. They are also marketed to vary different audiences and in all honestly there probably never WILL be the aftermarket support for it compared to the Focus.

Oh, you are welcome to ride in or drive my car anytime and then tell me that it sucks.

Really wish people would get off this "kit", "bolt-on" bandwagon and learn what fits what. Looks to be a Dura far as I can tell and sure looks like a Focus CAI would fit (or come damn close). I'd imagine other Focus engine parts would fit or come close also. Exhaust, probably just a bit more piping would be needed, no real biggie.

The nice thing about my fusion is it does have plenty of power not much mods needed for an everyday car. Handling is decent, I do not plan on turning on a dime at 100MPH but it has a v6 and is a smooth ride. I only want to add a body kit, wheels and upgrade the sound system except the deck. I usually change cars every 3 years I will try to keep this one though. Totaled my 2007 SES focus, I miss her she was good to me. I wanted to buy the new focus but the incentives on the fusion were just way more enticing! Maybe in the future I will buy myself another focus but till then I will ride in the confront of my fusion and deal with it not being an all around car.

And IMO, how could the Fusion handle poorly? The first gen must have handled well, since it was an original Mazda 6 chassis. I had one of those, second favorite FWD I've ever driven. I'd imagine the 2nd gen Fusion isn't a grandpa car either, and I'd know - I drive a Malibu. [shameful]

If you have an issue with the negative reputation you have recieved, please contact a moderator or the site administrator via PM, and refrain from posts such as this.

I think IMINHELL's point was to bring to light the odds of a request being fullfilled for a whole new site or forum based on the request of a barely active member with a negative reputation. While we at FF take all sugestions and feedback seriously, as a former quality moderator, IMINHELL is familiar with the number of requests we get from members for drastic changes to the site, forum, rules, and additions. Also, many of these requests often come from new, inactive, or poor behaving members.

I'm sure if the time comes that we see a need for such a forum, either as a stand alone site such as Fiesta Fly, or a sub forum here at FF, we will meet that need. A quick look around should tell you we don't do things willy nilly, we take this stuff serious and do it the right way.[ffrocks]
In the meantime, other entities have made forums for the Fusion, but while they may be quality sites, participation and traffic clearly show the demand isn't there.

No I'm not. I rarely give out rep good or bad. The -1 I gave you last April (5-4-08 IIRC) was in part to your wild claims of using a fuel additive that I think we proved full well did nothing and that your methodology for finding your fuel economy may have been flawed. I never did see you contest that with any outside evidence. If you did I missed it and I'm sorry.

But I'm not going to sit here and let people say something works when it clearly doesn't, and that goes for anyone. I'm all for trying things out even if someone says they don't work. But in the case of the internet there is already an abundance of misinformation available that is viewed as truth.
My job (as assigned by me) is to question everything I see. Far as I see it someone has to publicly if not for the simple fact that people can not take everything at face value and should have all the facts in order to make a competent decision; and I do this no matter if I believe it works or not. It's not my job to make a decision for you, nor should it be anyone else's.

If you want to negative rep me, by all means go ahead. It won't change how I go about anything. I merely look at them as a things I've done well and things I should do better, goals to some extent.

Yea it might suck that there isnt a specific Fusion site, but honestly, most of the members here are Ford guys and some of them own fusions. If you want a forum to go on for fusion help thats like FF....just come to FF. I guarentee all your questions can be answered regardless if this is a Fusion specific forum or not.

Also..the Fusion handles great for what it is, it is far from a grandmas/grandpas car or whatever people are calling it. Whoever says otherwise hasn't driven one.

I don't care about ratings its all a bunch of online stuff that to me has no meaning, but when someone tries to discredit me because of my rating whom was responsible for starting the negative rating to begin with, that to me feels as if I am being targeted. That member implied that my suggestion was not honest, valid and to ignore my suggestion because of my reputation on the forum. I don't think it is honest to give someone a negative rating just because you disagree with a post. I thought giving someone a negative rating was because that person acted bad or just did something to offend someone, that to me is negative and deserves a negative rating. Just judging by his statement, you can see he has other motives and I was targeted by him to discredit me again. Someone acting in that way is childish and shows the lack of respect to me as a member of this forum. I might not post daily, I do have a life and run my own site that happens to be featured on itunes, so yes I am busy. Sometimes I just come to the forum to read and I do not post. I probably have read 1000+ postings but should I post on every single one even if its 2 years old and I found by using the search, probably not. Either way you can see that there is a need for at least a Ford Fusion section. If not, just sell me the FusionFanatics.com and I will make it myself.

Unless we get a serious performance version of the next gen. Focus, I likely will be buying a Fusion next. (If I can't get a true performance focus, might as well get 4 doors and a good back seat for passengers.) The Fusion Sport AWD would be my choice, unless the Fusion GT that has been pushed back to 2012 gets made. (That car is rumored to have a 340hp version of the SHO engine, with a 6 speed manual, and AWD.) All of this being said, I do a lot of research on the Fusion, and will help out wherever possible.

Steeda just released an intake for the 2010 3.0L, and they 2.5L is about 3 weeks out, and they'll have the intake for the 3.5L a short time after that.

I almost bought a Fusion myself. I was seriously looking at it, however, the base model is just to base and you can't do much with it. The higher model you go with, the more it's expensive (obviously), and becomes cost prohibitive. There is no way I could have gotten the features that I have in my 2010 Focus and had a Fusion at a reasonable price.
