i don't know when this goes into effect but:
Monster Energy, RKC's #1 site sponsor, has indicated that it would like to become a presence at the growing HOUSTON FRIDAY NIGHT MEET. RKC Houston aims to bring peace and growth to the struggling Houston Car-Meet scene, where ricers, idiots "swangers" and other problems plague nearly any night-time car meet and cause headaches for all real car enthusiasts.
Monster will be supplying the RKC meet with free drinks, just as they do in Dallas.
We feel this is a beneficial decision for Monster, and for RKC. Houston enthusiasts will benefit from this as well, as hundreds and hundreds of enthusiasts can be accommodated by Monsters massive promotional truck. The goal of course, is to create the largest legal weekly car meet in the city of Houston. Having been there many times personally, I know how badly the enthusiasts of that area need and deserve this.
To all Houston enthusiasts, despite your website affiliation or the make and model of your car, support RKC's efforts to create this massive car meet. Attend the car meet with your friends each week, spread the word on local forums and your social sites, and tell any "real car enthusiasts" you know that they are welcome. Our hope is to make things better in Houston. Now, those who participate in this, will get free Monster Energy as well.

^^ Now that's pretty cool.
It seems alot of the Big Car Meet brains are starting to do things like this where they get a major sponsor to help calm down the "idiocy" and bring in the down to earth enthusiasts. ... and also calm the hatred for other's cars. Enthusiasts don't hate they appreciate the strength of every car ... no matter what make or model.

i think one reason my car meets aren't doing well is the cons meet is taking off. has anyone been there yet? i heard its rowdy over at that one its one reason we don't go there.

yeah, you don't want to do the conn's meet. it is just ridiculous over there. come on out. the meet location may change next week because the sponsor Rimtyme is moving their shop to veterans memorial. i'll post up when i know something.

Any of them ... they all seem to have one thing on their mind .... RACE ...
Not my cup of tea meet ... I would only race on closed circuits ...
