My granpa just called me up to tell me about the new car he bought, an '04 Corvette Convertible. Black Paint, Black top, black interior, 6 speed V8 engine. It's an awesome car, and I can't wait until he gets back from Florida so I can finally get to see this car.

Go grandpa! Thats awesome. Even tho my grandpa sold dodge for 40= years he has never owned a preformance car in my lifetime.

My granpa is HUGE on Corvettes. This is the sixth one he's owned in his lifetime, he says it's the only car that when you put the petal to the floor it slams your head against the seat. Plus, on an even better side, if he wins the lottery he says the Corvette is all mine! So on the off chance that actually happens, I'll get to have my head slammed against the seat too.

My mom's dad went through a couple of Corvettes too. I actually had the opportunity to buy his absolutely mint 1989 Corvette but I didn't have the money to do that at the time. In retrospect it was probably a good thing, I never could have afforded something as simple as new tires on that car (especially back in the day when few cars had tires like that).

Talk your grandpa into letting you drive it!

He wants me to come down to Florida so I can drive it, that's what he kept talking about. He said I could come down there, he could teach me how to drive it (since I've never driven manuals before) then drive me and him back up to St. Louis so he can visit us again. He would just get it shipped back to Florida when he goes back down there.

You can tell your grandpa we're no longer friends cause he didn't buy me one. LOL

hahaha you gotta have connections like him. My uncle just became a dealer so he can get a lot of cars cheaply through the auctions, so he got it for a low price, he didn't tell me what it was, but I know it was a lot cheaper than most people can get it.

That's what I always noticed, it's never the people you expect to see riding around in Corvettes and Vipers and any other expensive sporty rides, it's always the old folks. I guess there the ones with enough money to buy them.
