: 04 procharged svt or 04 r32
WRCwannabe 09-01-2009, 11:50 PM so i have a svt and a procharger set up.
but i love r32 and it was actually the car i wanted till about 6 months befor ei got my svt.
what would you take?
procharged 13-15psi svt with 3" catless exhaust, lightweight flywheel and clutch, 67cfm tb, and all supporting mods for FI.
or a 2004 R32 with 3" catless exhaust, koni coilovers, rear adjustable control arms, and aftermarket suspension bushings.
djo90 09-02-2009, 12:34 AM I think the Focus is a better car. The best thing about the R32s is the beautiful sound they make from they're exhaust! Which may be gone with 3' exhaust on it :(
mlbbaseball 09-02-2009, 01:39 AM i may get flammed for this, but i woud say the R32. i ike the focus alot, but if ur likein the r32, i say go for whatever ur gonna like better!
blackoutSVT 09-02-2009, 01:48 AM what one are you looking at it isn't a green one is it? with the r34 front bumper is it...
ChrissyL 09-02-2009, 03:24 AM Both are good small performance cars. If you want your performance more from the factory, then the R32 would be a good choice (heavier, though). If you want your performance built more from your own imagination and the aftermarket, a Procharged SVT sounds like your ride. You'll have fun, either way.
turboguy327 09-02-2009, 08:07 AM Ummmm.... Shouldnt be a thought The R32. Better handling. Better driving car. Just as fast as the boosted svt. And a better platform for mods.
..:: sleestak ::.. 09-02-2009, 09:10 AM R32, hands down. I rode in one at an autoX and that car was pretty sick. Besides, you get AWD and some pimpin seats. Modding them can get to be a lil expensive, but well worth it, IMO.

no not skyline, VW.
and that skyline is POS. it was ragged on like crazy and driven like a maniac, it really is a pos. i know the guys who work on the car when something breaks.
the only problem i see with this r32 is it is high miles.
about 110,000
so im still unsure but the price is soo good, it would just be hard getting a loan for it since the high mileage
tukaniSVT 09-02-2009, 09:29 AM I like the older R32 as oppose to the newer one. I also enjoy a good 4 wheel drive car they can be nice.
But a boosted SVT is nice also ...
Tough choice ... I like both cars. I use to have a GTI ... and that was one fun ride ... but like someone said ... can be super expensive to fix up or tune.

WRCwannabe 09-02-2009, 09:41 AM it is a MKIV R32 not the late MKV ones.
i live the MKIV r32 one of the most beautiful hatches made in us
LongDucDong 09-02-2009, 11:08 AM R32's are nice, but just too expensive. The SVT (especially Procharged) offers similar performance for a lot less money, hence its the winner in my book.

I have a procharged svt and its def unique but if i could find a r32 w/equal miles/condition you better belive I'd be jumping ship. They're overall interior quality is better, more refined, V6 Powerband which is only made better with mods, and AWD. With that being said, I wouldnt buy a VW over 60k miles even if i had cash in hand!!!
