: My Viper bit someone today.
chefster 08-25-2009, 08:11 PM I am walking out of a store today and my alarm goes off...some creepy guy swings quickly around and away from my car.....what a looser. he ducks his head into the trunk of an ol honda and tries to act inconspicuous.....he is so lucky I didn't see him yank on the handle of my car or whatever...maybe he just tripped and leaned hard on it , I have a tendency to jump to conclusoions...there are alot of breakins in the area. My insurance is actually lower because of the system.
I remember back in the day when I worked at radio shack, we used to sell these systems that notified you where ever you were that something was going on with your car without lettting the culprit know....one guys sytem went off and he found some guy under hiis dash taking out his system..he slammed the door on the guys legs...then the cops got there and beat on the guy more..whatev play you pay.
drunkinmonkey 08-25-2009, 08:19 PM wow i need to get me one of those i hate parkingon my street my parnets cars get egged in broken into constently id say 4 times a hear betweenthe 2 of them and my mom has had 1 car stolen 3 TIMES and were in a good neighbourhood too
pistolgripbmx 08-25-2009, 08:25 PM yeah two way alarms are the way to go, even if it's too late atleast you know before you walk out of somewhere unexpected an hour later with your car all busted up.
nlguy60 08-25-2009, 08:35 PM good systems are worth the money...i love being able to turn the sensitivity up so that if someone just puts their hands on the glass to see throgh the tint it'll go off....watching people jump gives added entertainment too.
leh0825 08-25-2009, 08:51 PM i jsut got a viper alarm w/o remote for only 20! thats all the siren keyless entry remote start shock sensor.. the whole bit.....
Phacade 08-26-2009, 06:09 AM I had a system like this on a classic Z car a few years back...annoyed the heck out of me. Whenever someone would slam their door too hard, play their loud (crappy) music, or breath too hard; it'd go off. I can appreciate a system that keeps the unwashed of society out of my car, but IMO, seemingly more trouble more than its worth.
bluefront 08-26-2009, 06:21 AM I had a fancy system for a while that also had a pager. The thing was very annoying when parked anywhere but my front driveway. Way to many false alarms, and I never could get the sensitivity adjusted properly.
Every time I parked at my favorite watering hole, the pager went off 2-3 times....finally lost the receiver, so the problem solved itself. [mecry]
LongDucDong 08-26-2009, 10:13 AM Im just gonna get a black mamba and keep it in my car as security. Screw the alarm, that will tip off the thief. Instead, let em get into the ride and when they reach down to start yankin wires, etc, theyll get bit. Once they realize what happened, stealing a stereo will be the last thing on their mind. Even if they do proceed to get the stereo out, they wont make it far, so the stereo could be easily recovered.

Thats all well and fine until you figure out you can't get in the car yourself... [;)]

Big Apple Herps snake hook: $15
Lockable Rubbermaid container (with air holes) for the snake: $8
Watching a thief's face after he realizes he just got bit by one of the world's deadliest snakes, and watching him stumble down the street with venom coursing through his veins, and drawing his last breath, all because he wanted a stupid CD player out of someone ELSE'S car: Priceless.

The cost when some hippie tells PETA that your car has a snake being used as a weapon: priceless. [histerical] Sorry, couldn't resist.

HAHAHA, that is so great. Love it love it. I still think their should be an electrical shock system in the car, where the seat and steering wheel shock the person if they entered the car without a programmed key or remote. It be funny to see a guy convulsing in your drivers seat. Turn the system off, let him fall onto the floor and drive away lol.
bluefront 08-27-2009, 12:35 PM There's a big problem with booby-trapping your car in such a way a car thief gets hurt......you can get sued, whether or not he broke in. It happens...
My idea which may have been already been invented.....a harmless smoke bomb that fills the interior when the alarm goes off. Guaranteed to make the thief run. The device could come with replaceable cannisters. I'd buy one if it was available.... Right now I have dual air-horns under the seat that go off with the alarm.....big shock value. Nobody in his right mind would get in the car with the horns blaring.
