First i love the site guys (new member) I'm thinking about boosting my svt euro edition. I have had it for a few years and just want somthing extra out of its power. How does the power band with a boosted SVT do with boost. I was always under the impression turbo cars wanted longer gears. I love the way the car pull s now and i love the way turbos lay in the seat will i get the best of both?

Welcome to FF

Yes , your trans will like the new boost and hold up well to it also

If you go to youtube and put in turbocharged focus vir you will see my black turbocharged SVT in action up through the gears

I have built a bunch of turbocharged SVT let me know if I can help

did you buy a prefab kit or frankinstein your own? I figure the getrag would hold up i was more interested in the powerband.

the only thing id strongly suggest is an lsd and a quality clutch/flywheel kit... other then that... the trans is perfect for boost... close ratios make it a breeze to keep it in boost from what ive heard... i should know come tommorow just how easy it is...

there are a few companies that produce turbo kits for the svt... 1turbofocus aka Tom is the owner of one such company...

or you can do a DIY setup... really depends on what you are wanting to do and if you have the fabrication tools, etc to do it yourself....

anyways... hope that helps

I wouldn't exactly call His kit Frankenstein. 1turbofocus actually made turbo kits that were very popular & great kits.

As far as the gear ratios on the svt. It's almost like they were meant for turbo. Quite honestly they are too long for an N/A car IMO. But they are great with around 300whp turbo (clutch & differential are a must have for reliability).
