If so any insight on the software??
My newly aquired 89 LX has the FAST ECU in it and I'm getting ready to jump in and do a little cleaning up of the tune (has a couple of drivability issues) along with turning up the boost.

Hmmm.... looks like I'm the only one.
At least I talked to their tech guy last night and I cant wait to tune with it tonight... tuning on the fly is going to be so nice.

John you have the basics down from using the SCT PRP , it basicly the same thing with diff charts and graphs , it load vs RPM

He had it with diablo, not sure if it would be the same...

Not reconizing a driver is the same no matter what you are trying to hook it to.

it is very likely the different devices use different drivers.

Well I got everything working and started retuning the car.....
OMG it idled at 12.5:1 AFR..... it would litterly run you out of the garage... taken care of.
It drove at highway speeds at 12.5:1 AFR.... not anymore
AT WOT it went as low as 9.7-10.3:1 AFR.... now it lays on 11.2 AFR.
I've started messing with the filter location... at highway speed IAT's were 106*F... now I have them down below 90*F and working out how to get them even lower.
FWIW... it TOTALLY SUCKS tuning your base fule table with MAP (kpa) and VE.........

LOL , yes it does , but thats because your use to MAF , If you had started with MAP then you would of felt MAF was a POS
Its why most are going to MAF now days

That's more of a limitation of your software's editing capability. With some of the more mature softwares (Honda's eCtune) I can take a stock 240cc injector tune and rescale it for 1600cc injectors/injector driver box in five minutes, everything from idle to WOT within 1/4 point of target AFR.
I've never touched a FAST XFI, but I have tuned a few cars with DFI Gen 7 and BigStuff3 which were also designed by the same fellow, John Meaney. In some ways that "family" of EFI is dumbed down and overly basic. I like to be able to configure inputs and outputs in a fairly complex manner... if the AEM EMS wasn't such fragile underdesigned pile of failure I'd tout it as an example, but those are really a mixed bag.

MAF is a POS. Ford's implementation almost overcomes this, and the S13/S14 Nissan are at least simple to deal with. Everything else is completely retarded.

It only took me about an hour to dial in the fuel table but why on earth do they want to use VE vs MAP when the software already has a RPM vs LOAD fuel table in it that you can also modify (just like SCT's/Diablo's stuff)
They use the RPM vs LOAD as a commanded fuel table and the you have to tweek the VE vs MAP in to match what you need it to read..... I think its completely assinine since the software runs in closed loop off of the wideband anyway.
FWIW this is the old FAST system not the Xfi.

Ah, I have no idea about it, then. Sorry.
