I just started my build today got a lot finished. Installed injectors, new thermostat, all charge piping cut out cat and old flex, drained oil to and took off pan to tap for oil return. I have already installed A/F gauge, boost gauge, BAP, J&S will be going in when i get it. I mock fit the turbo already installed on the header and got everything fit up, well when i went to actually bolt the header to the block (I have the spa mani) and i couldnt get the bottom center bolt in. And i couldnt see a way to get it in. Has anyone else encounterd this problem. Also with the comp turbo and the spa mani the exhaust housing and the DP seem very close to the fan. Will this hurt anything or will it be ok. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you take the manifold and split it at the bottom (bolt hole in question)just enough for the bolt to slide in , start the bolt in the head then with turbo on manifold slide the manifold down on the bolt , its tight to tighten also but this works easiest for me , or put the bolt in the bolt hole then put turbo on and install turbo& manifold to head , start this bolt in the head then

Can you still tighten the bolt up after you get the turbo and manifold in? I kept the stock pcv but it looks like it would be in the way to tighten the bolt up. I have a block off plate on the way tho just in case.
Also i have an aem tru boost controller and the spa wastegate. From the solenoid to the wastegate do i connect the hose to the side of the wategate and leave the top open to the atmosphere?

from what I've heard is that you either need to modify the pcv baffle cuz it will hit or get the JayRacing pcv plate.

You MUST remove the stock PCV and go to the plate
Many have had issues with the SPA waste gate I would be very carefull , follow the directions for your EBS as to what hose goes where

Ive talked to a few ppl who have them and said they have had no issues so i went ahead and kept it.
And as far as the ebc it just shows one hose going to the WG so im assuming it goes to the side and leave the top open to atmos?

Hey tom are you gonna be around for a tune not next week but the week after?

You need to hook up the EBC per instructions for external wast gate
I should be around yes , FF09 comes into play around then or close to it so those few days I will be a little hard to get to

Yea i should be ready the monday before FF09 hopefully. How long does the whole process, tuning wise, take?

Ok well i figured out how to hook up the WG with my EBC. The WG has an adjustable spring in it, where should i set it at? Lowest rate would be my guess but i dont know.

Some people (including Tom) say not to set your boost cont. higher than 2x what your WG spring is...not sure if that rule applies to an adjustable spring but it seems like you would want to stay close to that ratio.

Yea ive heard that too but with an EBC i dont know. I guess i could adjust it and then see when it opens. And i know also that you shouldnt have to long of a hose from the BC to the WG. How long is too long.

Kepp them as short as you can , I like to mount the BC unit around the Batt to the front of the car

Alright thats about where i have it. Just making sure.
What about the setting on the WG tho with the adjustable spring rate.
