My wife and I were on the way to the drive in movie [popcorn].... I running about 55mph and all of a sudden i remember that there is a rail-road crossing and i couldnt get her shut down to go over so i go over it running 55mph.... and the back half left the ground and came down fairly hard [8]

just wondering if any of yall have ever done it and if so...... do you think that would cause damage [scratch]

btw my Zx3 has the full FRPP kit [shhh]

Well I was going fairly fast through a local storage place with my buddy in front of me and I didn't know there was a big bump in the road and my buddy said he saw my front end leave the ground. I felt it but never though that I got air. I haven't had any problems and I'm on stock suspension. (Happened like 3 months ago)

Before I replaced my suspension I wnet out to a well known bridge out in the boondocks and jumped little stewie. He took it like a champ and begged for more lol.

TO answer your question your car is fine. A littl hop like that is no big deal. Unless you bottom out and scrape the bottom of your car hard, you really have nothing to worry about.

I used to do this for fun in my buddies Z24 in high school. We ripped off both side skirts bottoming out...

What about it tweaking the alignment? I'd be a little concerned about that, though it sounds like the rear took more of a hit than the front end.

^^^^ [rofl] oh man, that's good!!

I've been bad with my suspension.......only cause it's shot [hihi]

first thing I did was take it over a two and a half foot dirt jump.....going like 30. cracked my bumper because i hit a rock. oops [hihi]

then a while later, I found a deserted school that had those flat speed bumps, about six of them, and ran over them at about 60......

all that was fun, but again, my shocks/struts are all useless 50k ago [hihi]

I thought he was just missing part of his passenger side due to rally injuries, and the fact of no shadow must of meant he was a VAMPIRE CAR!!! LOL[:D]

And don't forget that he's 3 feet in the air and yet his suspension is still tucked under hia fender, as if he's sitting in a driveway. haha

I jumped my car once. Long/stupid story short....high speed + curb = all 4 wheels off the ground whilst spinning. Scariest experience of my life.

The pic is awesome ... next time soften the edges of the added car, Add a slight directional blur and brighten the levels to close match the Rally one ... that would make it even more part of the picture.

As for the car that actually jumped the railroad tracks at the beginning of the thread ... I would say look at your suspension ... it will do a bit of damage but not to much. You will need to check your shocks ... but I would say that's about it.

Back in my stupid Teen days, I use to with some buddies jump cars like VWs and trucks on railroad tracks ... lets just say it took like 10-15 times before something really broke ...

I'm pretty sure he just did that in microsoft paint. lol

I've got the back end off the ground before but not much, it seems to be much springier when I have it in "race mode." [hihi]

If i am not mistaken...... The FRPP suspension has a background in racing right? so..... it should handle a dang railroad track right [thumb]

^^Not really, it's just the stock SVT stuff.

Mines been airborn a few times (by choice) and at a pretty high speed (which I won't disclose). Lets just say that the rear of the car doesn't have the best stability under those conditions in stock form. Oddly enough my alignment was never thrown off, actually I've never had to align this car.

Weeeelllll being the great minded teenager i am, me and a couple friends tried to jump this one hill at about 70mph (didnt work) Went by another hill at 100mph yes stupid but still didnt work. Then we got bored dropped everyone off and me and my friend Garret were on our way home when he remembered a hill in belville by a little stor called Hitchmens Market or somthing. Well we go over this crazy hill and it practicly looks like a ski jump. So on our way back were cruising down this hill at 40mph and Garret is freaking out "SLOW THE F DOWN" remember me and my awsome teenage brain...well here it kicks in me-"Dont be a p*ssy!" So we speed up to about 60mph and next thing i know were about 6 F'n feet in the air about to piss myself (hell i coulda jumped a car going the opposite way nooo joke lol!) we hit hard as F and coulda swore my brand new car was dead buuuut my good ol foci survived perfectly fine with just a slow leak in my tire lol so ran to the gas station got fix a flat and we were good!

No its kind of off of 97, umm its rite "in town" lol, across the street from the pizza place, acccualy i think its butler...ya its butler the street rite next to hitchman's groceiry just folow the hill thats rite beside the store. but ya its in butler not bellvile kind of by where the clearfork ski resort was

**edit**
If your comming into belville from 13, you would turn left onto 97 by the little car wash and subway follow that past Clear Fork HS and through the fun twisty road and it will bring you rite to the spot, hitchmans will be on your rite and just go up that road, we turned around in the field at the top on the RIGHT lol on the left is a humungous hill into a bowl type thing.
