Hi all,can anyone help..
If i hold the revs at 2000rpm while static, they jump up and down by approx 300rpm each way.

If i drive it,it is totally gutless..there are no MIL lights on dash,
it starts fine, revs freely up to 4000rpm,while static. But totally gutless when driven...please help

Its a diesel... what do you want out of it 9k redline

Even in a regular car, if you hold it while "static" they will fluxate becuase theres no load on the engine

No dont expect 9K, wouldbe nice though,
But i would expect more then 35 miles an hour when driving..
And would expect even a diesel to hold Revs at 2000RPM,
without gaining approx 300RPM.and then dropping 600RPM..
Any ideas

No diesels in U.S. No experience with that engine, but some with older diesels years ago. Poor diesel performance == you need good , clean fuel, air, & fuel filters. Start with these when troubleshooting. Also, add a good diesel fuel conditioner to the fuel. If all these are new, check for clogged catalytic convertor.
