I bought my focus mildly modded all ready, well when i was messing around i noticed the ecu has a big sticker over the end that says diablospot. I figured it was chiped because the CEL is turned off and the rev limiter is raised to 7200 and there seems to be no top speed gov. I would really like to retune since i hav done more mods and it's running crappy but I don't have the handheld thing for it? What can I do? Can I just purchase the scanner tool? Thanks alot

More then likely under that sticker you have a chip plugged in

Aren't these chips capable of re-tune? If I could get the handheld flash tool off the last owner I'd much prefer to stick to what I have. Plus I'm working on going turbo so your free update plan wouldn't be of any use to me.

Yes most chips are retuneable if it is black , Red no , You cant change the tune thos only a Diablo dealer can

As for the Turbo I can tune that as well remote but not if you have a chip

hmmm then tha posing a question i have a red chip tha has 3 tunes on it via the switch i added...currently i have a tune for 87 (stock), 93 tune (gov removed, 7k rpm, ign etc.) and the third is blank....they said they were goin to make it unlock like the black versions are...the diablo guy was at the shop and said he knew how to do it... basically wat i am asking is are you saying i bought the tuner program i would not be able to put a new tune on it?
