well today when i started my care something blew. not sure yet i just droped it off at the dealer but what ever happend the intake was blown clean off the block. ive posted a few times on here and got good responses and stuff. i am bracing for the worst. i bought my svt used and it might be under warranty still cuz im only at 75k miles but i would like a guess to a low mile svt motor incase i have to swap

Check ebay. I was just looking and found a couple svt shortblocks (no head) for under $500.
If all it did was blow the intake off, the motor is most likely still fine. You probably just need a new plastic intake.

i am hoping thats what it is. im just nervous i blew a piston and that it knocked out part of the intake on the way in

should be under warranty depending on day of purchase or build.
i got my used svt engine off ebay.
try greenleaf autorecyclers.

yeah i found out to day it is under warrenty but the warrenty is in some chick named julie chavez not under my name (i bought it used) so im not sure what i am gonna do. for told me it would be around 5k to put in a new stock motor and then i would get like a 5 year warrenty or some shit again but i dont have 5k to spend on a car i still owe 9grand on

What?!?!?! The remaining warranty should have been transfered to you when you bought the car. Thats how it works.

remember though, unless ur gonna mount up an MTX to the SVT, you have to do a tranny swap, axles, cv's, etc. plus the ECU. so ur talkin about 2k in parts if you can do it urself.

yeah i think they are gonna screw me too cuz i have headers and a down pipe. but i dont know why the hell a few bolt ons would make my motor blow with only 75k on it. thanks for the idea about the warrenty im gonna do that tomorrow for sure

they most likely wont know if you have a different set of headers, now if your talking about a ORP that might throw a flag

FInd a freind in the area with a svt and barrow his header/cat assembly for a couple days while your car is getting repaired. If they see ANYTHING not stock on your car they will call that modification the reason it blew. Unless it is a ford approved mod it will make them throw a stink about it.

yeah i dont know aybody but im throwin it up on hear and in the wtb section. also tommorrow im gonna talk to ford and see if i can spend like 5 bills and get a ford approved one put on. see if that would work. i dont mind spending a grand. but thats all i want to spend. talk to warranty people today and have to call another place tommorrow morning to get the warrenty switched over. thats it i think. hopefully.
