Alright, i have searched this section of the forum and have not seen any good info on this swap.

Me and my father want to, over the summer, change my 2005 ZX4 S from an automatic to a standard 5 speed. If i go to a junk yard and grab a MTX-75 from a junk yard and replace the worn parts of it; what else would i need?

Parts List
MTX-75 with all sensors
Clutch Pedal Assembly
Shifter Assembly
Shift Boot
Shift Cables
Fly Wheel
Pressure Plate
Upper Tranny Lower Mount
Lower Transmission Mount Bracket
Carrier Bearing Mount
Clutch Line
Clutch Master Cylinder
Clutch Slave Cylinder
Brake/Clutch Reservoir
Pedal Box Assembly
Crank Sensor and Mount
Throttle Body and Bracket
Starter
Engine Wiring Harness (Runs from engine bay to fuel pump)
Dash Wiring Harness
Transmission Wiring Harness
Reflashed Manual ECU

Info:

A Five Speed swap can be done on either a Zetec or SPI Car(we are sill gathering info on the duratec, but should be pretty much the same), and require almost the same parts list for either engine. The swap is pretty straight forward with no modifications, everything is plug and play. One of the critical parts to remember is the crank sensor on a Zetec. Make sure it is changed before replacing the flywheel and transmission because it can only be accessed with the transmission out. Don't forget the ECU will have to be reflashed for your PATS system(can be done at a Ford dealer or Focus Salvage). The dash will have to be pulled to gain access to the dash harness.

What else do i need to successfully do this? I am novice to cars and their mechanics but my father is advanced in cars and engines. Both of us are new to a Focus however his 91 Escort is still kicking well and all maintenance he has done. (MTX)

ok, i posted directly from that site to here.. Doesn't sound as hard as i thought it would be. If i can find the exact car as mine, but obviously mtx, at a junkyard that would be awesome!

Thanks for the link, when i do it, i will document everything that i do and post it up with loads of pictures.
