Hi everyone, I have a 2001 FF LX , 2.0 SPI engine, 124,000 miles on it.

This is the A/C hose coming from the accumulator to the compressor and has been perforated by the drivebelt.

I have no cold air at all but what I see (see attachment) all the refrigerant is gone with residue of the refrigerant everywhere underneath the compressor and the A/C hose.

I really need help on this one in order to fix it myself and so far what I know is that I can replace the hose but I need to take the car to a shop in order to pump out the air and moisture with a special A/C vacuum at certain PSI for several minutes before adding the refrigerant the regular way.

Please tell me anything I don't know.[???:)]

How much would it cost?

Besides it's 85 at least everyday in Florida and getting hotter.

Thanks a bunch in advance!!

Me

If you have a air compressor, you can get a venturi vacuum pump from Harbor Freight and the gauge set from them too and do it yourself..........
