: Wake up ford !!!!!!!!

When it comes to the rs coming over here i am all for it, but i doubt they will,,,, considering the economy ,,,,and the fact that ford screwed over the mazdaspeed 3 for 2010 ....it was supposed to get the focus rs <Volvo 5 cylinder 2.5 duratec turbo> which was in the one they tested at Nuremberg ,,,,,,but to save money they kept the 2.3 in it <not that its a bad engine> BUT i would like to say that the world economy is at a crisis level ...FORD YOU NEED TO LISTEN TO THIS . You wanna save your ass , bring the focus rs over here and sell it fully loaded for 25,000 with a 10 year 100,000 mile warranty... WHO cares about your numbers,, save your company in fact you want to sell cars and trucks ,,,drop the price down low on all your rides even if your only profiting 1000 bucks a car your still making money and selling cars ,,people that are buying cars would stop looking at all other cars if there was a company doing that and buy from them ,,,and its kinda patriotic....making 10,000 profit a ride is not working as we all can see ,,,,the economy is tough right now ,,,so the focus rs at 25k ....Good business plan,,,you will take over all sti, evo ,type r, etc ,,you would dominate the purchases of all those cars in that class ,not to mention everybody here on FF will buy one< if it is possible damn beacon scores heh heh>...you are a American car company ,help save America ,and give us the focus rs ,HENRY FORD would.... hell if he were alive it would already be here and the Europeans would be doing this post..I mean come on we all know that for some reason THEY get the quality,, well its OUR TIME NOW,,, help us help you ,,give us the car. I KNOW I RAMBLE BUT THEY NEED TO WAKE THE ..UK UP ALREADY the 80s and 90s and the 00s are OVER.... YOU HAD YOUR RUN ON THE CASH BUT NOWS THE TIME YOU SAVE YOUR .SS.... Sometimes in America a company looses track and cares more about money than anything ,,,even its own people ,,or whats better for us as a whole ,,,instead of thinking more about making a quick buck....But we all here know that theres a point where making a profit turns into ripping people off ,,,You had that way for a long time ,,,you had your run you made out like bandits... But now you want to make that money, its time,,time to show us some love even if it hurts a little.. I MEAN look at the facts now there are to many car company's and not enough car buyers... SO be American and adjust ,,,you can go back to the way it was in a few years....but one things for sure THERE WOULD BE A LOT OF FOCUS RS'S ON THE ROAD AND I BET TOM MIGHT EVEN COME OUT OF RETIREMENT FOR A FEW MONTHS TO FIX ALL THE PROBLEMS AND TWEAK IT OUT THE WAY IT SHOULD BEEN DONE IN THE FIRST PLACE lololol any way sorry for the long< .SS >response but FORD YOU NEED TO WAKE THE <.UCK >UP

yay... another rs thread... [sleep]
why cant you go live in europe and buy an rs?[dunno] no one says you have to reside in america if having a euro only car means life and death for you [;)]
seriously.. just give it time for goodness sakes! ford needs to tend to the masses of car buyers first by offering techno-advanced fuel efficient cars FIRST... then introduce over the top styled hot hatches. the evo and sti appeal to many, but when you look at the whole picture of people looking to make a new car purchase, it turns out to be only a few. so just tell ford you want the damn thing in an email and move on...
its funny how if a "hows the focus reliability" thread pops up people will jump down the thread creators throat but these "i need an rs or else my heart will stop beating" threads come up once and even twice a day...

talked to my dad today, who works for ford, he said that he is working on the cost for the focus RS interior dash right now!! (he's a cost estimator there) so i'm pretty sure it will be over here. He's also telling me that it should be under 30k US!!! wether thats true or not, i dunno, but he made a good point. the euro cars have always been more in Europe, granted, alot are better, but for what they could be manufactured for over here, they would be alot cheaper. He was saying that even though its the RS, its still a focus (he has no bias to them at all, even though he had one for a very long time) and it will still sell at a cheap price. NO one other than our focus community is going to buy a 40k dollar FOCUS!! he's guestimating they will come out in the mid 25k range.

Who cares about St170-/SVT, St225/XR5 or RS
There so over ratted over price and so under-powered.
It's taken Ford 10 years for the Focus to have an turbo, it'll take another 10 years before they make it 4WD or AWD.

Ford has already woken up. Look at their new cars coming out: the Fiesta, the Focus, and refreshed Fusion. They are all very nice looking cars. Now find me another car company that sells their cars at the rock bottom pricing that Ford does. Loaded Foci cost a tad over $16,000 right now. Loaded Mustang GTs cost a few grand under $30,000. The Fusion can be had (6 cyl SEL) for $26,000. The Edge - costing upwards of $30,000 is a pretty well equipped, performing vehicle. Ford is going in the right direction. I probably wouldn't have had quite the same optimistic view 4-5 years ago, but now, they are on the right track.

Loaded Foci cost a tad over $16,000 right now.
Don't know where you got that number, but the last loaded Focus that I drove was stickered over $19k (and I test drove it yesterday). That was an SEL sedan and it had most, if not all, of the options available.
As for the RS, I hope it does come over this way, and if it does, it won't be an MKII like the current one, it will be with the MKIII design (the one that the US and Europe will be sharing in late 2010). Also, if it does come over as say, a 2013 model (2 years after the MKIII will be first available here, kinda like they did the SVT), that's about the time that I will be ready for a new car, and I will have the $30k+ to spend on an upscale, high horsepower Focus...and I won't really care if people say, "you spent $30k on a Focus?!?!".
To put the $30k on a Focus comments in perspective (and I'm borrowing this from another site):
Would you pay:
$35k+ for an Impreza? (STI)
$35k+ for a Lancer? (Evo)
$30k+ for a Rabbit? (R32)
They all follow the same logic, and the 2011 world Focus will be a much better looking/feeling car than both the Lancer and the Impreza, which have cheap interiors and doors so thin that if you look at them the wrong way they'll get dents in them.

My god is 14,00000000000000000000 RS threads not enough for you?
If you want to talk about this subject see the first thread.
