I'll be picking up a 1996 Lincoln Mark VIII next weekend. The car was my uncle's, but he is picking up one of the new camaros as soon as they hit the lot. The Mark VIII only has 57,000 miles on, all new front end suspension, converted the rear from air to coils, lowered 1.5 inches, CAI, 80mm MAF, Headers, 3 inch true dual exhaust, high flow cats, exhaust, Chip, 3.73 rear end, supercharged, 18 inch chrome wheels with nitto 555s, etc etc.
I absolutely cannot wait to get this car. V8 RWD FTW.
Edit, I'll be keeping the focus since I don't think the Mark will do well in the snow.

as soon as I get her picked up and washed, waxed, and all cleaned up. It'll be an 800 mile trip back home.

Nice! I came close to buying a 98' Lincoln Mark VIII LSC with the 305hp cobra motor! It was a deep sangria red like color with grey leather... car was absolutely an amazing example of a creampuff.
Ended up not going with it though...

the 96 has the 4.6L DOHC motor they put in the cobra but with different intake and exhaust manifolds. Well with the swapped out intake and headers, it's now just like the cobra motor. I think the car should be a total sleeper, especially with the s/c

I love my 94 Mark VIII! Im driving it everyday till I get my Focus driveable. It has 82,333 miles on it. Bone stock but would love to put an exhaust on it so it has the Mustang sound without flooring it. It is a true sleeper.

i believe the way my uncle had his run was true dual 3 inch stainless to stubby little magnoflow resonators, then dual 3 inch stainless back to the tips. The car sounds completely nuts, especially once over 3,000 RPMs.
