My buddy purchased a SVT longblock of off ebay and i got the rods/pistons out of it.
I was wondering if there was a noticeable difference (that you could see with the naked eye) between the svt rods and the zetec rods?
I know that they are forged but is there a way to make sure that they are in fact the svt rods?
thanks for the help!

A picture and 2 sec I can tell you , the SVT Rods on the sides wont be smooth because of the forging , ZX3 rods on the side are VERY smooth
Thats the easiest way

I sure wouldnt waste an money on the SVT rods , yes the rods are stronger but the pistons are no better then the stock zetec piston and you cant change to a forged piston on the SVT rods

PLUS... you can only use SVT pistons with SVT rods (SVT rods have a larger wrist pin) and no one make aftermarket pistons for them (that I know of)
