: Rolling fenders
cdsilver02 03-24-2009, 02:34 PM This is a feeler to see how many would be interested in this, or if anyone has another solution then please let me know.
I have to roll my finders I looked at the tool for this on the tirerack site and it is expensive to own, but I was thinking if enough people were interested in this then I would buy it and let people borrow it for a small fee, and go from there.
If someone has the tool and would let me borrow it I would be willing pay for this too. I just really need to get this done soon.

I have one that I rent out.
Hit me up with a PM if you are interested.
RedBaronSVT 04-01-2009, 02:54 PM if you are rolling 'em just cause of rub, theres no need to. i reached under there while just standing next to it, and you can feel a tab thats almost 2 inches long, i had the worst rub and it was cutting my tire, all i did was pinch it in between my 4 fingers and the palm of my hand on the outside on the paint. it went in about 1/2 inch. i test drove it and was just like "why the hell didn't ford do that!" hope this helps.

Sounds like you're talking about the front piece that's there for the fender liner. Rolling the fenders usually happens in the rear. I had to do it on the Mazda 6. It's time consuming, but it's well worth it!
cdsilver02 04-01-2009, 05:59 PM Yeah the rear is rubbing.
beat3rfocus 04-01-2009, 06:31 PM No ill effects after rolling my car completely. Just take your time and enjoy the outcome.
RedBaronSVT 04-03-2009, 03:44 AM ah the rear, never had problems in the rear myself...nm then :-)
sicsvt 04-03-2009, 07:57 AM what offset are your rims i have a 40 offset and if i want ti lower my car i think i will have to do the same thing

Mine are the stock SVT euro wheels. So, I think, a 40 offset.
RedBaronSVT 04-04-2009, 03:28 PM oh and another thing, my buddy just did his legacy with a baseball bat, rolling it on the tire with the top of the bat in the well, and just go real slow and pry it off the tire upwards...maybe something to think about cause you would never know he even did anything.

^^^No. All stock SVT rims are 49mm offset. [;)]
cdsilver02 04-05-2009, 10:41 PM ^^^ WD40, How would I find out the Euro's offset? That might be my problem with the rubbing. if the offset is different than the stock 5 spoke SVT's. I could go back to one of my sets of 5 spokes.
Read my post again...
All SVT wheels are 49mm offset.
5 spoke-49mm
6 spoke-49mm
EAP-49mm
Look on the back of the wheel for "ET" followed by a number...ET49 means 49mm offset.
cdsilver02 04-06-2009, 04:26 PM LOL I am a Dumba[:D][:D] that can't read.[slap] I really need to do this fender rolling though...
Sorry WD40 I knew it was something in the 40's...
How far down did you drop the coilovers?
215/45/17 tires?
cdsilver02 04-08-2009, 02:01 PM I am not sure any more... I have had them for a while. The front could drop 3", but I have put them up to about 1.25" drop.
The rears only dropped about 1.5" I switched somethings now it is almost 2", but the rubbing issue
and 225/45/17 Falken Azenis.

What happened?
Lowtek 04-14-2011, 10:04 PM If you are going to have your fenders rolled and you are close I highly recommend cdsilver02. He did everything VERY professional. He took his time to do it right and he had all the correct tools for the job. He is also a really down to earth guy and we BS'd the whole time, there was never a dull moment. Thanks again for helping me out!
cdsilver02 04-15-2011, 12:22 PM ^^^You are welcome. Thanks, for letting me roll 'em.
