Alrigh, I have a 2000 Ford Focus SE and I have a Single Over Head Cam with over 180,000k miles. I was thinking about swapping engines with something. I don't want to go too crazy. I was wondering what would fit or even work or if I should stick more money into the car. Its already a five speed manual. I have done some mods but not enough to get to crazy over. If you have any usefull info that would be grand. Thanks.

SVT motor can be done relatively cheaply, you could throw in a 2.0 Zetec, or even a 2.3 Duratec but I believe that requires a ton of rewiring

I have installed the DOHC Zetec in the place of an SOHC, and could easily do the SVT drivetrain. It is not that hard of a process. If you want more info, PM me. I also have access to all the parts needed at reasonable prices.

IMHO, if your going to swap, swap BIG. I'd go 2.3L with a 5 speed(the IB-5 in our cars don't hook up to anything else BTW). Or SVT.... If you can find one...

dont do the dura unless u got some time to have the car down and some time to get parts and alot of patiences. ive been working on mine for over a month now. u have to swap the whole wiring harnes from front toback of the car. every thing is differnet from an spi to a dura. go with an svt or a zetec. because of the wiring.
