i picked up some duratech wheel paint last week, i am giong to do my SVT wheels gunmetal. one of my wheels has a decent size gash in the outer edge. What is the best way of fixing this? i was thinking of just using my soldering iron and putting a little solder in there before sanding the wheels down. do you think this would work?

use bondo/fiberglass or some kind of body filler. solder will just flake out of there and next to impossible to shape

The jb weld just might do it. You may need to go over it with some fiberglass filler to smooth everything out afterwards. My only concern is with how it will wear.

Jb weld is great stuff but it's really hard to shape or form after it hardens...much more so than bondo. On the other hard it will probably hold up better on a wheel than bondo or body filler will.

there is also marine two part epoxy. I used it to fill a crack it a water jacket on my 2.5 in my ranger.

I found this how-to in the sticky at the top of the forum.
It shows him using JB weld for everything. I didn't know you could shape it like that.
