I'm not to sure... but i think i may need to replace my trans mount. if i shift relatively hard from 1st to 2nd, and sometimes 2nd to 3rd i feel and hear a small "clunk". the other gears its fine... but is the mount bad/going bad?
second, my when my right front wheel hits small bumps i hear a slight rattle, could the strut be going bad? or something common i could fix?

get under the car and look at the trans mount its easy to see
you can see if the mount is bad just look for a smashed rubber bushing behind the transmission it in the shape of a dog bone you cant miss it
when mine was bad it did that

i have the warranty on my car still, would a transmount be covered under warranty? or is it like a clutch or brakes where its considered a wearable part

go to steeda and order the dogbone poly inserts. cost like 20 dollars. mine use to do it. kinda like a pop when you shift hard. i replaced the stock insterts with these and no problem since.

i dont want to get the poly mounts cause i want my car to remain as stock as possible and i dont want the increased vibrations.... i wanna know if the dealer will cover the transmount, anyone know? cause if i can get a stock mount for free, cool if not than i'll do the poly inserts, i saw a write up on it. all i do are my oil changes... so i am a little weary about doing something a little more involved

it could be the drivers side mount too, just check them all :D

Just get the bushings for twenty bux or a CFM one like i have it makes shifting a lot better and more solid. Yeah you get a little vibration but its honestly not that bad, takes about 30 min to swap the old out.
