I came across an interesting e-bay item:
Link here (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Ford-Turbo-Supercharger-Focus-Taurus-Fusion-Galaxy_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp4634Q2ec0Q2em14Q2el1262QQhashZitem160321354160QQitemZ160321354160QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories)
Has anyone tried one of these? I'm a little skeptical. Semi-forced induction?

lol mlb now THAT is funny [rofl]
yeah thats a bunch of crap, and they actually drop hp/mpg because really, they just don't do anything but get in the way of your airflow. and it doesn't produce enough airflow to do any good. (ESPECIALLY if you install it backwards [hihi])
hmm come to think of it, these things look almost like the fan housing for the "cornditioner" on the popper at work, its sole purpose is to create a low flow air current that directs the heat from the heater it is attached to in order to keep the bottom popcorn warm. I mean hot.
lol even the same color [hihi]

i personally never tried that one of my friends bought one of those all it is, is a small plastic piece of crap motor that blows weak warm engine air around. DONT BUY.

I know i've said it b4, but never in this forum. those don't blow as much air at WOT as a hairdryer. now put ur hand behind ur exhaust at idle and see how much air it blows, then hit it WOT and see how much air it blows. that POS has to push at least that much air, which it doesn't. I wouldn't trust one of those to cool me off on a warm summer day!!

Those "blowers" are intended to vent enclosed spaces in boats and such. As the others have pointed out, there is no way that these will function as a proper supercharger.
There are electric superchargers available (see the link below). After you start reading about what is involved in terms of batteries to run a proper electric supercharger, you'll quickly realize why the ebay devices are just a waste of money.

man isn't there a sticky on these...
don't buy it dude. youre better off with a blow drier in your intake tube.
Correct, and end of story.
