I installed new brake pads (Raybestos) on my car this weekend, and i have lost a lot of E-brake force. I used to never be able to pull the lever past 4 clicks, now i can go to 7. The stopping power it has isnt nearly as strong either.
I've checked the set-up, everything looks good. Any help?

You can always shorten the cable by takeing the center console out where the ebrake is an just tighten the nut.

The brakes are supposed to self adjust when you go in reverse and hit the brakes. Try doing that. Go in reverse and then hit the brakes. Do that few times and see if they adjust. If they don't then you probably need to adjust the e-brake cable like mentioned earlier. Also remember they are new brakes and won't stop has good till they are broken in.

Pads take a bit to get to their full potential. they have to break in. i would give it a week.
