I was in ford today (need an oil change and reverse light replaced), and i was joking with the guy behind the counter about how i got jipped when ford redesigned the coupe. I suggested that i get an 09 bumper and have that installed (just the bumper, i like my chrome, maybe il do it later.). He said id have to find out from a body shop, by getting a template and seeing if it matches up????????[poke] Now im sorry, but its the same car...with a different bumper...So shouldnt it fit? The 09 looks soo much cleaner than my 08, so i was just thinking of ways to make the outside look a little better.

it might be the same body just a different bumper but the lower grille areas and what not might be different. any dealership will always make sure that it will work out correctly to save there asses if something goes wrong.

what should i do then to make sure it fits?

mike, go with the lip kit like brad did. it probaly cost the same by time you got a 09 bumper.

I would love that lip, but i want the molded foglights, i think they look much better

The coupe bumper will bolt right up. You'll need to buy the lower grille also. If you have fog lights you need to buy the fog brackets.

Thank you. The only reason I am asking in a few different threads is to make sure all my information is right. I can get the black lower grille and cover. Why so I need new brackets? I can use the same fogs I would just need the brackets? Where can I get brackets? I thought I saw a how to on here from a member soon this, anyone know of such a thing? If I were to buy the parts bur have the cover primes and painted and installed what is a fair price for the painting, prep, and install?

Fog brackets are needed cause the coupe bumper doesn't have a direct bolt on for fogs thus needing brackets.

Tousley Ford can help you with that. Both brackets are about $60 for both. The lower grille can be bought at the same place.
