Does any one know if you can relocate the Maf sensor with out any problems(closer to the TB) with out affecting the computer or turning a MIL on. I shouldnt have any problems as long as the Maf tube has the same Inside diameter. Right???

There is a table in the ecu called o2 transport times. Its the time it takes the air from the maf to hit the cylinder after its read. If you move you maf it will skew these values. Now what affect that will have i dont know.

Doesnt the Mac short ram intake actually have longer MAF-to-TB tube than the stock tube, thus moving the MAF further away from the TB?!? People have never had any problems with this intake AFAIK. Wont the ECU sort of re-learn the new o2 distribution characteristics?!?

The closer you move the maf to the throttle body, the more backwash you will have over the meter which greatly affects drivability.

Im actually just thinking about moving it up to the aprox. same location as the non PZEV models. Do you think that that would affect driveability. It is still going to be a ways away??

There isnt a big issue with backwash on the Focus you can actualy move it very close to the TB , what will make a diff is if it is close to a turn , you can play with it and watch the fuel trims from the o2 this will tell you if a tune change is needed to move it to where you want

Cool I can wacth the fuel trims at work on the Shops Modis. What are the min. max specs I should look for. Or should I just keep it close to what they were before I moved it
