Im Brand spanking new here, and might i say this site is awsome...and excactly what i was looking for. I am currently deployed to Iraq[gunfire], and before this deployment i bought an 05 ford focus. ive been deciding what to do to "pimp it out" and what i realized was the best to do woul be to switch out the engine to a v8 and switch the drive to real wheel. All i wanna know is who has done that and could you explain to a brotha how you went about it..

Personally, I'd like to see a 4.6 swap from an 05+ Mustang GT. That would be really cool!

12k down will get you a decent V8 mustang with reasonable payments...
Although loving Focuses like I do, it'd be cool.
But then to me it kinda takes the "focus" out of it.

I'm new here myself, and don't want to offend anyone, but I have to ask. Why? I saw a similar post on FEOA, it just doesn't make sense to make a car designed for front wheel into a rear wheel, especially at the cost of doing it. I love my 2 Focus' and old Escort, while I'd like to make improvements to them, I don't want to make them into a whole new car. I really am asking to understand, not criticize, lay out what you want to do it for.
