I'm looking at buying a new used blah blah whatever type car here in the near future. I want something with room for at least four people and for it to be kinda quick. I've checked out the new xb2s and I kind of like them, but I also kind of want an SVT. Besides it being faster and smaller why would you recommend one against an xb2? and dont say well its a foreign car or all that scion bs talk. Do you have room for people in your car? how is the trunk? is the SVT really as fun as I'm hoping it is?

Whoops please move to ford focus and general car chat.

Didn't see that...

I have 5 people in my car all the time, my family. I'm 6' 2" and my girlfriend's son is as big as me and he sits in the back along with her 2 younger daughters. They seem to have decent space back there, little cramped for extended drives. I also only have a 3 door[:(] I want a 5 door orange SVT. Having a hatch has always been my preference too as I don't think there was anything I couldn't put in my car, you name it I probably hauled it... besides anything that requires a trailer [:p]. But yeah it's still pretty zippy with 5 people.

I've never been inside an XB or XB2 so I can't directly compare the 2. I've seen them and I think the space might be somewhat the same since they are both compact but the XB(2) also has 4 doors.

A lot of people are suprised how nice my backseat is in my SVT. I would just get the 5 door, so that people can get in there easier. My SVT is a blast to drive, a good set of rubber, and you are the king of your local back road...

On the cargo thing, I fit a 4 drawer, full height file cabinet in my car...

I'm looking at purchasing a used car myself. I really liked the Mazda 3 hatch, but to find one with decent mileage put it out of my price range. However, if you wouldn't mind a payment, I was able to get $216 a month for 60 months with $6k down and 4%. I didn't bite on that because I don't want an 09 3 hatch and a car payment.

If you can find a Mazda 6 hatch (they have sedan, hatch, and wagon models) those are nice!

Right now, I'm looking at an 03 SVT with decent mileage that I hope is for sale once insurance check clears....
