the story i hear is that it is from a renault 16v turbo and it was a good functioning turbo and held boost quite well. forget how much the turbo/turd costs, how much $ for the shipping on the thing- it must weight a ton-

I am pretty sure that manifold and turbo came off a car that burnt up.

This is a front crossmember/spring hanger that i fabbed up for my 2000 ZR2 . I'm tossing a Dana 30 under it. Got tired of the IFS always breaking........[headbang] I know it's not really a good pic, but if you wanna see more, maybe I can do better.

Ive done almost every style of welding. Hardest to me is tig aluminum. I thought i was perfect at tig stainless steel and mild steel. Welds were beautiful and penetration was perfect. Then my work hired this cocky ass kid thats a few years younger then me who builds custom bikes on the side, and anything you can put on them. Im talking the $65 to $100k ones. He introduced me to "color". My "perfect" welds went from just blue, to looking like a rainbow. Its almost like the colors of chrome exhaust pipes after theyve got some use to them. Im amazed what ive learned to do. Like how the proper ways to cool them down has a huge effect on color, to being able to weld flex pipe thats a tad thicker then a pop can. Did you know that theres some people who can weld magnesium? If i get time at work tomorrow, i'll play around a bit and show off my mad skills.
