I know, I know, I'm going to get killed for asking this, but has anyone swapped a 2.3L duratec into an SVT? Will the 2.3L bolt to the getrag? If someone has done this, then that means an RS swap is possible right? They are a 2.3L duratec, or am I wrong?

Getrag will NOT mount up different bell-housing pattern. It could be fabricated, but I don't see the value in destroying a Getrag bellhousing.

What part of an RS? The motor? The motor is a zetec that they named Duratec over in Europe.

I think they posted the link to my swap that is currently underway. Keep posted and see how it goes![wrenchin]

Then it should bolt right up to a getrag trans. Has anyone attempted to source an RS engine from europe before?

I've seen them on the UK Ebay quite often. I have no idea what the cost of importing/shipping would be.

that would be expensive. it might be worth it if you have the time, patience, and know how to install it.
