So, not long ago I had to have my rotors replaced, along with the pads in front. Well, since then, when I put my foot on the brake, they give a pop sound/feel. Also, if I hard over the wheel either way, and bounce it as far as it goes, it gives a clunking noise. Same for if I hard it over either way. It sounds like something is hitting on both sides, but I dont know what. Any ideas? -Dennis

Who did the brake job? Did you/they make sure to tork the bolts holding the caliper? Mount the pads correctly? Did you do any other suspension work?
It sounds like your end links might be going out.

A Volvo dealership where my brother (now me, hehe) works. It didnt do this before the brake job... And no I didnt have other suspension work done. Just the brakes. I couldnt tell you if they torqued the caliper bolts, since I wasnt there... but I assume they did. Is there an easy way to check the end links?

Well, easy and yet not so easy... i took mine off and checked the bal joints for play. How many miles are on your car now? I'm just guessing though, i would have to acyally hear it for myself to diagnose the problem. But, when my end links went out, it sounded like a clunking/popping sound.

The car has 70k. I dont really know how to describe it better... its not a loud pop, and it doesnt do it every single time I hit the brakes, but more often than not. And as I said, the clunk noise only happens if I bounce the wheel as far as it can go. My brakes feel fine, they work as they should... I dunno

Yeah, i would sugges lifting the car, wiggeling the tires, taking them off and inspecting everything.
