I have a SCT chip from my 2000 Ford Ranger...will it work with my 2003 Focus ECU? I realize it will need reprogrammed, assuming its not a write once chip. Just curious...there's a local SCT dealer nearby, I might have to look into having them run a custom tune on it.

Or is this something Tom can do if I send it in to get it re-flashed?

You cannot put a chip on the SVT pcm. You have to use a flash programmer.

Processor size (not the physical dimensions, the size of the EEPROM) will not support it.

OK. I actually just discovered that I don't have a SCT, but rather a Superchip Chip. Didn't realize they were different. Oh well, doesn't hurt to ask I guess. :)

Our first chips were actually superchips inc chips as the two companies were loosely linked.

What does it look like? If it is red it can be reprogrammed by an SCT dealer but if it is blue it cannot.

what about the 4 bank, how do u get the tune from the comp to the chip with the pro racer software? iduno, maybe i'm better off sticking with my x3. does the pro racer work with that?[idea]

Yes the pro racer software works with the chips but you would have to have a chip burner in order to get the file onto the chip.
