Hey Tom, I messaged you about what the strongest block was a while back but I was also wondering if the zetec and svt block's were the same? I'm looking to built a forged short block but wasnt sure if they were the same. I know you said that the cgi block is the block for me but I'm thinking of just taking it easy and going with about 350 hp instead of the original 450+. My next question is, will the svt/zetec block be capable of holding 350? Thanks Tom!!

Yes the stock block will hold 350 , anything over that I feel better rods and block should be looked into
Yes the ZX3 and SVT are the same blocks other then the squirters and there not worth using

If I wanted to have you tune my focus with a big turbo on it how would we work it out? I'm looking at 325-350 hp...this wouldn't be something that you could remote tune is it? I was looking into going with a spa diy kit. Let me know what the best possible route for these numbers would be...the svt has 52k on it right now...the compression is great. I would assume that it wouldn't be a problem going fi with it.

The SPA kit wouldnt get you there or close , My DIY kit (also comes with SPA manifold) would get you there
My DIY with manifold 1495.00 , turbo to make 325HP 698.00

what is different about you diy kit and the spa kit? I assume the turbo...what kind of turbo do you have in mind? I also have a question that's a bit off topic...if I were to put a lsd diff in is there any shimming involved? Of course the shop manual's do not offer such information so I wasn't sure if you could shed some light on this topic..thanks Jon
