I'm confused, you want to buy an SVT, then swap a Zetec engine in, or Buy an SVT and swap in a Zetec tranny?

The regular zetec can be made to have more power and torque than the SVT for under $2000.

If you need help sourcing the transmission swap parts let me know. I have most of the swap parts aside from the transmission itself.

Cheers,
Brian

I figured, Just wanted to clear it up! Still though that seems like it wouldnt be enough. Though idk..
New head 1000
cams 350
svt header 400
cam gears 200+ tune=??
Intake 150+
Toms tune 412

Is that about right? It's like 2500.

nope. You can find a lot of parts on the forums to get deals.

intake $50-100
header $150 you dont need the svt header.
exhaust $250-400
cams $250-300
shave head $40
new head studs, headgasket, and fluids $150
dyno tune for 93 and x3 flasher $700

I'm only at 1590-1840, you have money left for the 2000 intake manifold or a bigger flexpipe.

If the person has the proper equitment and skills yes! I wish I did. Though, I could put in my front sway bar but I'd rather have someone else fight the car. It's easier under a lift than a jack!

All the fun in modding a car is doing it yourself. There is basically instructions for everything.

Most ZX3's are cheaper then SVT's also. So that will leave you even more money to mod. They are also lighter.

They are lighter, and cheaper, but once you start modding, if you actually want a good rounded package you need, a rear disc conversion kit, upgrades sways, upgrade springs, and all that. You basically have more money into it for a similar car, and you still don't have the nicer interior. Heated Recaros FTW!!

the getrag is the svtf's stock tranny. just like the mtx-75 is whats on the zetec.

the mtx75 is better geared for the 1/4 mile, the getrag does better with autocross n'stuff like that, i believe

To me, the fun part isn't putting it on, It's driving it after everything is together![driving]
