: Rice Question? Right car, wrong move...

Everyone has their own gripe about "rice", be it wings, graphics, fart cans, whatever.

The one that just screams rice to me is the cheap-a$$ DIY cling-on tint (especially PURPLE) that collects more air bubbles behind it than I could possibly describe. So yesterday, (this hurts) I spot a BMW M3 with exactly that crap on the back window. While trying to control my gagging I notice the back side windows are tinted perfectly.
So who/why would someone do that to their car? Did he just cheap out? Get cheated on a lousy tint job? Or actually thinks it looks good? Am I missing something? [dunno]

maybe its been on there for along time and the tint is just bubbly cause of the defroster

4 cars. over 6 years. all had tint. always run a working defroster in the morning (none of them garaged). never once had a bubble.

if you have bubbles in your tint, your tint place sucks and you should go somewhere else.

well thats true but i have seen cars that had tint on for along time and the back window tint is all bubbly and looks ugly.

Trying to tint your own car windows with a kit from Wal-Mart is a lot like a middle school kid trying to get to second base. The flat ones are easy, but it gets a whole lot harder when you try the curvy ones.

I'd be willing to bet this was a do it yourself job.
