So last night I was getting ready to go to a friends house and was going down the road noticed that my car sound and drove a little funny. I thought hmm that might be my e-brake so I piddled with it a little bit at the stop sign and was like well maybe its fine. I drove to the next time and was slowing down for it and my car fishtailed a lil I assumed oh its just my crappy all-seasons and was like w/e. I drove off and less than a half mile later my car decide that it didn't want to go that way anymore so it did a 180 in the middle of the rooad and I stopped 10ft from a tree and was halfway in a ditch. I then realized I had been dragging my damn drivers side tire for that whole time. I was like wtf drove back home. I was pissed/scared/confused as hell. Damn ice froze my e-brake.[?|] oh and btw it was icey and snowy thats why i didn't realize it sooner.

I don't use the ebrake in the winter for that reason.
I set wheel chocks and leave it in gear

i just leave it in gear for that reason...jetrinka had the same issue earlier this month

yeah I learned that lesson. I was checking things out and my right side has brake drag so I need to fix that too no more winter e-brake usage unless necessary.

Isn't the E-Brake on the back on our cars?

yes it is on all cars and that it was my back passanger side that is too tight and my back drives got drug around for like a mile.

I wouldn't worry to much I had been driving all day and drove through some puddles and slush and it was what caused it. I wouldn't worry to much unless u did go through lots of crap. If so just put it and gear and grab a block of food and chalk a wheel or 2 and you'll be fine.

I've learned the hard way with 3 cars! Don't use the E-brake when its below freezing. VW Corrado, 240sx, and even a new SVTF. And believe it or not, not all cars have the e-brake on the rear. My sister had an old Saab that I was going to turn into a rally car, but it was front wheel drive, and front e-brake...
