I washed my car cleaned it out everything is awsome. So i just went for a short 10 mins ride. Its amazing how connected u can be to ur car. When i'm driving alone sometimes i turn off the radio and just drive and think about now don't think about anything else except now. Seems no matter wat is oging on when ur in ur car life is good. I love my car and my car loves me back never [:)][:)][:)][:)][:)][:)][:)] about anything.

I know what you mean Solaris. I love to go on rides alone as well. Many times I crank up the volume and just let it go. It feels so good and it always relaxes me after a long day. Believe it or not, but often I take her out even after 11 or midnight and drive for an hour or two when all roads are empty. I don't have to go fast or anything, it's just the pleasure of being on my own in the car and don't worry about a thing.

I always take late night cruises, when life has me down, which unfortunately it has been past few weeks, I hop in my ride, and take an hour cruise downtown to showoff. When you see heads turn and people gawk and yell and wave at you, just gives you a really big boost in yourself. I love attention =0

Solaris, I'm with you too!!

Sometimes I put some music, so my mind is flying away with my car...

Best time to go out is after 2 am, windows down, music off, it's beautiful.

I totally love drivin' by myself. Well, I actually prefer being driven by someone else b/c that's about the only time that I ever soundly sleep but whatever...

There is something nice about simple cruising. The weather has been so nice lately so I've been keeping the sunroof open and the tunes blaring...

See life for me is mixed i'm happy cause my friends are awsome and my girl friend is better but my parents are getting divorced and my dad has moved out so i take alot of rides cause it's hard to be home with my mom sometimes. Also no matter cds i have i nthe first 5 slots the 6th is always Frank Senatra's greatest hits perfect cruise music. Yes u heard right a 16 year old who usually listens to the likes of thrice, Finhc, Thursday, and A Static Lullaby listens to old Franky.

My car is the best place to be when I'm crazy mad! Know what I mean? Just to take it out on the next guy using pure skill and raw horsepower seems to put it all back into perspective...that I'm still the man! Um, I mean, Woman!!!! [:X]

I listen to Roy Orbinson so I wouldn't dream of laughin' at Frank. Yeah, the old-school gal w/ a penchant for 80's New-Wave, 90's Hardcore and techno/trip-hop/trance and dance loves to blare old Roy...

Sorry things aren't going so well at home, Solaris. Better for you to clear your head by spending time driving than doing other things... Take a moment to hug your Mom each day. She probably needs it... And maybe you do, too.

Solaris, I'm sorry to hear about your parents. It's gotta be hard on ya. It's good to know that you're not gunna let it take you down and you're not alone. Stay strong. "That's Life" as Frank Sinatra would say:

Wait till you drive a convertible. I didn't care for convertibles until I drove one and the experience you are talking about is 100 times better with the top down. It just started to suck big time when I got on the highway.[idea]

Convertibles are a blast.

Whenever I'm in NY visting I love taking my grandma's Mustang convt. out.

It's a 96' GT Convertible, custom side exhaust, tinted windows, lowered, rims...very sweet :)

not true blk, your only gonna live this lifetime once, try and make a plan to make enough money to buy one, if you dont succeed, you will at least have some good stories to tell about how you tried :) i will have a gt2 tuned by ruf someday.... it will be easier 20 yrs down the road cuz maybe then it will only be 80g used hehe

BlkZX3
10-13-2003, 11:44 PM
Hehe, that would be sweet, just hope the value doesnt go up!

Realistically though, I would rather buy an early 90's Testarossa.

There's a Ferrari dealership 15 min away from me, I walk in the showroom a few weeks ago in tattered black jeans and a t-shirt and proceeded to sit in all of the cars..they didnt know what to do :)

They had a 90' Testarossa there for 80 g's...5k miles on it, bright red...I almost shat myself.

EuroZX3
10-13-2003, 11:46 PM
sweet ass sweet. i think the testarossa is def in my top 3 fav cars of the 90s i cant even count how many hot wheels i had of it on one hand

BlkZX3
10-13-2003, 11:47 PM
Most definetly, only Ferrari I like better was the 512TR...oh God.

Get this though, adding to the appeal of the Testarossa in the dealership, it's license plate said: "Testy"

God I loved that!

EuroZX3
10-13-2003, 11:49 PM
testy... that rocks. if i had a gt2 i dont know what id make the plates say... maybe ruf ruf lol

BlkZX3
10-13-2003, 11:52 PM
Hehe, that would be amusing to see that.

Considering that back plate is all anyone would be seeing anyway.

Hey, a Porsche 928 is not too far-fetched, is it? GT2, that's expensive as hell, but a 928 can be had for less than the cost of a Focus. I remember looking into the prices of first-gen 928's a few years back, and good ones were going for around $5,000. I decided against it, mostly because the purchase price of the car itself is only the *entry fee* - then there's the tremendous amount of regular and unscheduled maintenance which costs an arm and a leg. Not to mention insurance, which is typically astronomical... okay, so maybe the 928 is pretty expensive after all. [V]

Exactly how I feel solaris when I had my cougar and my eclipse, I loved taking rides in the middle of the night around 11pm - 2am, just throw some rock music on or even just turn the radio off put the windows or the convertible top down and just listen to the wind and the sounds of the night outside.

There is definatly a huge connnection between a man/woman and their car.

I love this car too much! (do I sound cheesy for saying that?)
I just love to go for joyrides on Sundays and put on some tunes. Sometimes I just turn off the radio and listen to the car.

BlkZX3

And, sometimes, I talk to the car....and he talks back.

If I'm really mad, I put in some Eternal Tears of Sorrow (http://www.student.oulu.fi/~jpuolaka/etosmain.html) - some crazy black/death metal from Finland. Somehow they always calm me down after listening to them for a while at high volumes ;)

Funny thing is, this summer I took a week's vacation completely alone. My car, the southwest and just the open road. Drove about 2200 miles visiting mostly Arizona, Utah, but I have to tell you, that trip was one of the very best one I ever took. I left San Diego without any plans and somehow I always found something which was not even mentioned in travel guides or anywhere else.

I'll smoke both of you pansies in my Mclaren, or if that is in the shop I'll bring the enzo...seriously, I own a old 1973 porsche 914 that I like alot, but the parts are crazy expensive just because they say porsche on them, and the 914 is supposed to be the poor mans porsche, she does handle awesome though![thumb]

It's kinda funny, I just got home from one of those "quality time with my car" trips. Sometimes its nice to jump in the car, head out into the country and just drive. only reason I came now is because the Habs are playing on TV. If they win it'll make me feel better, if not I'll be back out driving in about 3 hours...
