What's a fair price for a 2006 2.3L Duratec with MTX-75 plus harness and computer?

Out of a Focus. No problems and about 38k miles on it.

that sounds pretty fair with the tranny and wiring harness. Focussport was selling a used 2.3 with 23k on it for 900 without any wiring or tranny.

Well, I've found a 2.0L also for around $300.00

I guess there's more 2L than 2.3L available.

I was able to get the 2.3L w/38k with complete wiring harness, ECU, alternator, starter, PS pump, intake and exhaust manifold plus motor mounts for $750.00

I think that's pretty fair

I just hope the engine is in decent condition. Also, found a mtx75 for $250.00

Custom axles will cost me about $400.00
Custom engine mounts, exhaust, and shifter assembly/location about $1,000

If I can get it to run on stock engine management I'll be happy.

Oh yeah...all of this is going in a 1991 VW GTI. LOL Car weight about 2050 lbs now. I'm hoping the motor will be lighter than what I have now and bring the weight down to 2000 lbs even or close.

The Duratec is cheap and plenty of aftermarket support. I wanted to keep things under 5k
