I was going to replace my brakes soon but was wondering how easy it would be just to do it myself. I just need to replace the front disk brakes. I will be needing to replace both the pads and rotars.
How hard is it to replace them? Am i taking on something that i should just let the professionals overcharge me?
thanks for the input

A super easy job to do yourself... Search around here, i'm pretty sure there is a how to.

there are two caliper bolts, wiggling of the caliper to get it off the rotor if there is a lip, slid off rotor, slid new one on, un-clip old pads and replace with new, re-bolt caliper. Getting the caliper to slid back on with the pads may require you to unscrew the brake fluid reservoir and pushing the pads apart more (you may have to do this to get the caliper and pads off if there is a lip on the rotor).
O yeah, and please go easy on the new pads and rotors for about 500 miles! The proper break in goes a long ways towards longevity and brake efficiency.
