Has anyone stripped these down & polished them?? Also how hard is it to make paint stick to them if just sanded down?? My factory silver is flaking off. I really wish they were chrome.....

Did you happen to look at this recent post? Lots of information is available on this site but you need to be making some effort to find it on your own especially when its this easy.

Just have them sandblasted then paint them. I recommend powdercoating for a good finish.

Taking the finish off will lead to rust i believe.

Wonder if polishing them would work with a clear powder coat.....I bet that would be alot of work polishing them that is. I have seen stuff called air-craft stripper and it makes paint bubble up and you can rub it off. I just don't want to screw them up.
I really want a set of ASA AR1's....just hard to talk the wife into it.

They did offer SVT wheels in chrome at one point in time.

If you strip them down and manage to find a place that does chrome plating, that might be your best option. I've never done it but I know of several people who have done that before but for engine components, not wheels.
