I've been thinking about adding a gauge pod w/ a voltmeter and oil pressure gauge from Ford Racing. I found the How-To on myfordfocus.com about how to install the pod, but what I haven't been able to find out is how you hook up the gauges? Is this something you need to have done, or can it be done by the average "do-it-yourselfer"? Anyone here done it themselves?

yes but thats a mechanical unit, do you really want a sample of hot oil constantly inside your cabin....nah, get an electrical unit, like the stewart warner guages from mcnews. i did those, work great, look great....however i did lay aside time over a few days to get it done.

im going to run a mechanical oil pressure gauge as well. It does have an oil line in the cockpit but you have to break it for it to hurt anything, and on most gauges its a protected line. The mechnical gauge is more accurate than an electrical gauge. Electrical usually costs more and will take a little longer to get working. Hope i helped a little hehe
