Unfortunately, my parents are picking up an '08 Civic today or tomorrow. We sold our '95 Buick Park Avenue and our '01 Lincoln Continental (mmmm....4.6L V8 Powah! [hihi] ) for the 40mpg 1.8L slow thing. First foreign car we have ever bought since I've been alive. I tried to get my dad to get an '08 Focus since they're made in Michigan, but he had to have the extra 4mpg or whatever better that the civic gets. Anyway, done with the rant [neener]. I'll get pics when we pick it up. It's a 2008 Rallye Red EX-L Coupe.

while i wouldnt call them fast, they certainly aren't slow. they are zippy. they dont handle that great tho. the steering was unresponsive compared to an SVT. but then again we are spoiled.

We test drove an Si at first, because at first the car was supposed to be for my dad so he was considering an Si. But now, it's for my mom, so she wanted an automatic; therefore we got the normal Civic. It's rated at 5 more hp at the wheels than my car, but it also weighs roughly 100 lbs. more than my car, so I'd say i'd win in a race [:D]

eh im not a fan of the new civics..i still think they look odd...man you shoulda bought the continental and put the 4.6 in your focus!

actually from experience i took one in the highway dude was a sh!tt3r! had no idea wat he was doing i took him with my 03 galant with just a drop in k&n...very sad.. had him about 4 cars

I like the Civic coupe. It looks very nice. It has a 5-speed automatic too, which is better than most 4-speed auto in its class. The high MPG is great; I don't know how Honda does it. No one else even comes close (maybe Corolla)...

i test drove the new si and was wonderin when it was supposed to be fast cause i took it all the way to the top of the rpm range and was not impressed

parents got an '08 altima 2.5s auto and have gotten 35 mpg on the highway, so honda isnt the only one that "does it"..if im not mistaken the new focus is suppose to get around 35 also

Well if I remember correctly, Civic gets 40 highway mpg, 15% better than 35mpg. 35 is nice too though.

Here are the pics of it. We got it today, had to come from Ohio, so it took a week (should've taken about a day). I drove it....and damn it all, it drove really nice lol. Also washed the foci today [:D].

Nice. I thought very hard about getting a Civic Coupe too last year.

Don't know why folks hate on the civic...it's a better vehicle than the Focus. My wife has a '99 Sedan with over 115,000 miles and has NEVER had one issue with it. The new coupes like your Dad purchased are gorgeous and well-built. The Si is just plain hot. [hihi]
