08 SE, 13,476km. Heard a noise that just started coming home from work on friday. Sounds like the upper shock bushing squeaking. Going to take it in to dealership this week. By the way, have there been any major problems reported with the 08? Any recalls? I have read some threads on isolated incidents, but nothing of importance. I have always wanted to get a notice from the manufacturer saying: "we screwed up and will fix this screw up with no charge to you, our valued customer." Almost makes you feel important to them.

If there is a recall, you will definately get a letter from ford with no hesitation. Recalls are just definately too important to let it slide if it's going to cost your life.

So far I have heard nothing from 07 or 08 and 09 for that matter yet.

im having a bad sound from the same wheel but its a bearing wheel, so probably you have the same problem, whio knows.

Many have had wheel bearing problems. You both should take in your cars.

When I opened the trunk and pushed on the bumper, you could hear it plain as day coming from the upper shock mount. I did not use the car over the weekend, drove it to work monday morning and no noise now. We had some rain on the weekend, the moisture from that may have lubed it. If it is dry then it will probably do it again, until then I will leave it. Might just spray some lube on the upper mount, that is all Ford would do. That is what my shop did, if the shock was not leaking of course.
