I just registered to the forums. I'm found a deal on an 01' Ford Focus locally and I'm considering buying it. But, I'm looking for a lil more power out of it. I've been looking at intakes, exhaust, etc.. I ran across a Tuner called the SCT Xcalibrator 3. My question is how much of a power gain have people seen out of this product? The car I might buy has an exhaust and intake. If you're just gonna come up with a smart a$$ remark, I'll find help somewhere else.

congrats man hope you like it if you buy it. the easyest way is forced induction. other then that all you are really going to find are small gains from things like intake and exaust. you may want to look into a diablo sport tuner for it. i have an svt not the kind you are getting but i know that they work quite well. good luck man.

[ffrocks] [loveff] [welcome] yeah a programmer is a good up grade also all the bolts like intakes and headers and such are great ways to get a lil more pep out of ours cars. Each car is a little different. Depending on the mods the tuner will 4hp on up depending on whats done to the car but its the driveability of the car will improve greatly. Also TB (throttle body) is a good upgrade or porting the stock one will work also in improving throttle response. It does give hardly anything at all but helps greatly with tip in.
