my dad is a ford tech and he recently got a paper from ford that they are going to make a ford focus rs for america it has a 5 cylinder engine and does 0-60 in 6 sec stock comes with 19 rims and a wide body i will scan the photo this weekend with the article it looks good and sounds awsome but its sad everything i read said no stick it will be one of those with paddles on the wheel i hope they make it though has anybody heard of this

A ford tech as in service technician? I don't think somebody at that level with the company would get a real paper from ford saying that before it was already officially announced. I hope you're right because that would be awesome!!

Are you sure it didn't mean the rs would arrive to the Americas (Ford's other name for Mexico)?

no he got the paper because it requires special tools to work on and he needs to have them befor it arrives so he got first notice since he is their top machanic in that shop with 21 years of experience

dang I am sorry guys my dad just called and it looks like they r keeping it overseas for now but there pre production modle is a left hand drive so there is hope he emailed them explaining how much customers want this car i suggest we do the same heres a link for the beast

Every time I look around, its another link to the same RS article Ive read a billion times, and further rubbing in of Ford's lack of devotion to its home country.
Makes me actually believe those rumors of Henry Ford's Nazi sympathies......

I read in the most recent issue of AutoWeek that 2012 is the date we're to get the euro focus along with some of its euro siblings. the artical made no mention if we are to also get a RS so cant confirm that. On a sadder note ...the reason they say for the wait is to americanize it so I hope they dont mess it up.
