zetec is actually a trim name which has been used for i think 10 years if not more.

It's a nasty car, wayy too overpriced, a fully loaded ST is only £10k. And the vinyl on the bonnet is just pure tat.

As for zetec - it's a trim level here in the uk. The 1.25/1.4 and 1.6 engines are the zetec-se unit but on the airbox ford have put duratec. The diesels are duratorq units and the 2.0 in the ST is a duratec lump - phew! lol

Pfft, there is no accounting for taste.

IMO it should've come with at least the Mountune stage 1 package and the suspension upgrade as standard, it is a bit over priced, but you couldn't get a new Fiesta ST for £10, you could get one six months old for that.

As for the vinyl, i like it, it's a nod to the Mk.1 Escort RS2000, what with 2008 being the 40th anniversary of the launch of the Escort.

Fair point on the vinyl - but the differences comapred to the normal ST is about £450, and a fully loaded ST can be had for £10k with the right discounts. They can't even sell them for £13.5k - 2 have been sat at my local dealer for months with no interest
