ok i,m a used car salesman and kno most trim packages on most vehicles. but i own a 2005 focus zx3 SES. i kno there is a SE package and an ST package in the same year. ST is a 2.3 liter duratec zx4 model with only a 5 speed manual equipped, and a se is a base model with auto or manual, 2.0 duratec and comes in zx4 and zx3 models. but i cant tell the difference between a ses and se. maybe it is power windows factory on the ses. i dont kno. help me out with this. and correct me if i was wrong with any of these models i mentioned. thanks

nay on the power windows for the se. my se came with power everything. I know that the ses has color matched trim and i think they came with alloy wheels as well.

The SES models also have a rear sway bar with 16 inch rims. The S and SE do not have real sway bars. The S is just a basic no thrills model and then the SE models have AC and some extra's , the SES is a loaded model.

The ST is the only one with painted trim. My sister has an SES and the trim is all black. And some SE's came with a rear swaybar as an option.

Nope. It was either that or leather for the ST.

im talking about black and silver trim on my dash, doors and console. not seats. i had cloth seats but i had peanut butter leather put in with football stitching.

Oh I was talking about the paint matched door handles and mirrors. I guess the SES doesn't have that afterall. The ST's interior panels are all black however instead of the grey black mix. And it has carbon fiber surrounding the HVAC and radio controls.

well my mirrors and handles match my car since its black but i kno what your talking about. painted mirrors and handles mine are jus black rough plastic

This can get complicated because of some available option packages. I have a particular optioned ZX3 SE that has the SES suspension, power mirrors and windows, "leather" wrapped steering wheel, 15" alloys, and the 480 watt
"Audiophile Sony stereo, but no tilt/telescoping wheel, no ABS and no paint on the outside trim. I thought that the post '05 and later SES had the painted trim......I can't recall ever seeing an SES that didn't have the painted trim and the 16" alloys?

I have an SES 07 sedan and the handels are white. I know the ses comes with a spoiler and the upgraded suspension thats all I know. The inside is tan which I like and dont like lol. And I think my rims ar 16 or 17 inches cant remember.

i have painted trim on the sides of mine. but my mirrors and handles are unpainted black plastic. i have a ses. 16 inch wheels are included on mine too.

This should help you a little and from what it says the SES has some sort of "sport" suspension while the ST has a "performance" suspension. Not sure what exactly that means but yeah.

I am pretty sure that the SES and the ST have the same springs whereas the ST has SVT dampers and the SES has softer ones. I believe this is the difference.

as ya'll can see i mentioned this sport suspension in my first post. like i said i am a used car salesman and had went to a local ford dealer and asked and the salesman wasnt to sure but mentioned sport euopean suspenion but the euro part might be wrong or mable the whole thing.

ST is 6 speed. I have an S model I upgraded the wheels..,no power locks no power windows or anything. Zx3 model S 5speed. SE comes with 15" wheels and power windows/locks and fog lights I beleive...the SES which is what my sister has comes with 16" wheels, rear sway, spoiler, fogs, power everything (no moonroof), and matching trim.

^The ST is only a 5-speed. The SVT is the only 6-speed focus.

The 08 SES comes with rear sway bar and a better suspension than the SE and the SES premium package comes with the European tuned suspension. After reviewing my window sticker, this is what my 08 has, I am not sure with the other packages. Most times if buying from dealer stock, you can get a mixture of anything and everything - it seems they can get options installed on some models when you normally can't get them configured from a factory build.

The best way to find out what kind of options you can get on certain models is to go to Ford.com and build a Focus.
