in order to save the cost, the ford china does not equipt the full indicate screen for Focus.

So we have to add a screen ourself. I want to know how about in USA?
It is said that in EUROPE all Focus has the big multifunction screen.

The U.S. gauge cluster is completely different, and we don't have anything near as nice. On mine (2002) there is only a simple LCD screen to display mileage information, such as this:

ok so now i pose this question.... will that cluster fit in a US model... it appears to be the same basic shape but i cant tell for sure. If i can get ahold of just the part he is holding in his hand in the second picture i will order aftermarket guages. then i can do the multi function screen as well.

I highly doubt it. 2000-2007, the speedometer overlaps the tachometer, so there is no dead space where you could mount it. Now if you were to put it somewhere else, you have the issue of driving it. It won't plug into anything, so it needs to get its information from somewhere. It would be 110% custom work, electronics and all.

yeah, i figured it be a pia... but if just that one piece would fit i would use that and put some autolite guages in... ohh well.

HA!! That's all they do to save costs? Well, let me tell you how Ford treats people in their home country.

China: Awesome European designed Ford Focus with second generation chassis built in China employing Chinese people.

USA: 00-04 All Focus hatchbacks made in Mexico. US spec Focus is on it's 3rd body design, but still based on the original design chassis, only one engine available, no 5 spd automatic transmission.


Yep, it's good to be Chinese and have a Focus [thumb] I was in Hong Kong 3 years ago, and was very happy to see Ford's dealership there, but back then the cars were made in Spain or Germany.
