: everyday
In Focus 07-11-2008, 11:12 PM pretty much everyday on my way home from work i get on the freeway and i always run in to this guy in a gt-s eclipse and boom its race time we zip though traffic and have a blast i usually beat him though traffic but we have fun.
The other day a colbat wanted to get in on the race and we let him get ahead then we just took off and smoked him it was great fun, for a stock 08 my focus is quite fast i played with a v6 cougar lastnight on the highway he couldn't get past me he'd catch up and id floor it and pull way from him big time Im very please with my focus ah i love it
I'm buying it lowing springs (1.2" drop) and them 15 spoke svt euro rims [thumb] [ffrocks]
norcalfocus01 07-11-2008, 11:17 PM Read The Forum Rules "no Street Racing" Post Or Somthing To That Matter. Also I Dont Like To Hear About Racing In And Out Of Traffic Scary Stuff!
loudfocus01 07-12-2008, 12:09 AM I'm glad you are happy with the power from your focus, but racing in traffic is unacceptable and just plain stupid.
Take it to the track, and stop endangering others on the streets.
In Focus 07-12-2008, 12:14 AM i would take it to the track but theres no race tracks here in shitsville
and they call ablerta "The land of the speeders" freeway limit is 80km/h everyone goes 100+ even in construstion zones (50km/h limit) people still do 100km/h+ its nuts ive gone past cops breaking form 140 in a 60 zone and they dont even care its kinda weird... where just so under staffed in the cop department we kinda got no street laws here people speed like crazy here and on the highways o look out 160km/h + past cops they dont even bother.
theonly287 07-12-2008, 12:21 AM Jesus....I want to live in Canada....its like an autobahn there ahah.
In Focus 07-12-2008, 12:24 AM yah pretty much its retarded
and fun at the same time.
and we got this freeway called the atheny henday and its a huge ass concrete freeway on the citys out skirts and no cops ever one it everyone just flys down there i usally do 160km/h in the morning and i still get pasted by if F-350s and skylines and stuff its crazy
norcalfocus01 07-12-2008, 12:26 AM i would take it to the track but theres no race tracks here in shitsville

that is saying i stole an item in front fo a cop and he didnt do anything so its okay[screwy] just because they dont pull you over does not make it any safer.
MikeF2D 07-12-2008, 12:29 AM just because the cops dont care doesnt make it right. and because every one speeds its ok??
norcalfocus01 07-12-2008, 12:31 AM thank you mike for the backup
In Focus 07-12-2008, 12:32 AM well im not some dipshit who speeds where people and kids are around and "racing" tho traffic is not that bad if you no the limits and don't be a dipshit
you gotta no when its right to give it some gas and be safe at the same time i don't go 140 where kids are playing or theres heavy traffic that just dumb just on a 3 lane freeway with few cars on it also speeding and driving pretty much the same way its ok as long as your not stupid and push it to far and no when to back off. here in canada i think we think differently
we like to have fun [nutkick]
norcalfocus01 07-12-2008, 12:38 AM okay so you dont speed or race around kids, how do you know that one of those few cars on the freeway isnt carring a couple of kids then gets a blowout on spins infront of you doing about 160kpm and you hit them is it okay because you were on the freeway and near a park?
In Focus 07-12-2008, 12:47 AM lol ive been going 120km/h in a shitty snow storm and a guy spun infront of me did i hit him no because i no how to drive
ive even been hit in back rear corner by a guy in the winter took out my bumper he jump the median and went in to on coming traffic did i no because i no how to handle a car i simply put it in low counter steered and brought my car so a safe stop even the cops said it was amazing how i saved it a undercover cop watched it all
i understand how some people don't no how to drive and give guys like me a bad name and that sucks but when it comes down to it i can handle a car i have countless stories of stuff thats happened that could have killed me and the other person and i avoided it because i can drive a car and know how to handle it in a situation where your average person would panic lose control and cause a bigger accident so don't knock me for the way i drive [mecry]
norcalfocus01 07-12-2008, 12:55 AM well i know i wont be driving in canada any time soon so i prensonaly dont have to worry, hey do you think that maybe dale earnhardt crashed and died because he didnt know how to drive?
jmiller_1974 07-12-2008, 01:03 AM [QUOTE=In Focus;2226007]well im not some dipshit who speeds where people and kids are around and "racing" tho traffic is not that bad if you no the limits and don't be a dipshit
This has got to be one of the most IGNORANT things I have read in months. Apparently nobody You know has ever screwed up and got Themselves hospitalized or killed 'cause They "knew what Their car is capable of". I spent almost three years behind the wheel of a Sylvia S13, drifting every day, on tracks across the country and around the world, and one wrong turn later, that car was a scrap pile. AND I KNEW WHAT I WAS DOING! Don't try to act like street racing is cool here, dude. The only person who will be impressed is You and the genius in the gt-s. By the way, are You absolutely sure that guy is cool enough to risk killing that minivan full of kids and the nanny on Her cell because She didn't see You coming and took up the lane You or He planned on being in? I don't know why I bother, You probably didn't make it past the first sentence...dipshit[bash]
MikeF2D 07-12-2008, 01:11 AM hey do you think that maybe dale earnhardt crashed and died because he didnt know how to drive?
omg, i didnt know there were nascar fans on here!!!! That was actualy the first race i ever watched, i still remember that day.... very tragic. seriously tho, u are a dipshit for going that fast. its not knocking your ability to drive, its knocking ur "ability" to follow simple laws.....
In Focus 07-12-2008, 01:15 AM bring up dale is just wrong he got hit at like 200mhp theres no saving that
its no diff from me going 200km/h and a guy clips me yah im done o well
nothing you can do
and im not saying im always "street racing" tho traffic i do drive normal but here in this city practically everyone drives like that its how we where raised and some just aren't as lucky as another's what are you gonna do and im not racing tho rush hour and its not a all out race tho traffic cut cars off its more of a cat and mouse thing nothin to really worrie about i no what im doing and when cars are ahead i slow down and wait for a opening thats SAFE ive yet to cut a car off be honked at or anything i just think i didnt say what i wanted to say right we cat and mouse on the freeway where not all out cutting people off pushing ppl out of the way. [poke]
norcalfocus01 07-12-2008, 01:17 AM omg, i didnt know there were nascar fans on here!!!! That was actualy the first race i ever watched, i still remember that day.... very tragic.
my father in law is one of the biggest earnhardt fans i swear, me personaly i love racing period nascar, indy, drag
300ZTS 07-12-2008, 01:19 AM people if u dont say u speed on the streets... your lying. all u people with turbos and nos and the HIGH performance engine parts, im prety sure its your daily driver and u are not at the track everyday. so u can say u dont speed. dont get me wrong its dangerous. yes the rules say dont talk bout street racing, but everyone dose it. And i kno everyone is gonna say "yea but i dont talk about it"
but it dosnt mean u gotta go crazy wen some one dose
norcalfocus01 07-12-2008, 01:21 AM you can justify it any way you want but remember that you dont have controll over anyone but you, okay im done because no matter what points i make to you it dosent matter, becuase i dont have any controll over your driving.
jmiller_1974 07-12-2008, 01:25 AM Being a lemming is no excuse to dive off the cliff with the rest of them. I'm sure You're a fantastic driver, what with playing cat and mouse on the freeway and all. And the D.E. thing was a tragedy caused by a desire to not adhere to safety standards. Had the Great One been wearing that damn horseshoe on His neck, It'd probably be Him pissing up Your flagpole, not Us. Just do Us all a favor : either find a track, or post here to let Us know when and where You'll be, so at least I can give Your professional driving ass a WIDE berth, K?
MikeF2D 07-12-2008, 01:43 AM seriously, ive never sped. but then again, i only have my permit...
focus_kid_89 07-12-2008, 06:20 AM Dude there is no sense in speeding that much...don't get all worked up the just don't want anything bad to happen you...and it's nothing aganst you driving skills just stay safe and not stupid...Glad to here you love your focus though
Brindfan 07-12-2008, 11:56 AM Obviously many of you have never driven in Canada. Canucks are craxy-ass drivers. God help you if you step off the curb in Toronto, while you have the walk signal, and someone is turning right on a red light. They don't stop first, they roll up and stop only if a car is coming, and sometimes they don't even do that.
In Montreal and Quebec City, red lights are just a suggestions to drivers for the first ten seconds.
1stTimeFocus00 07-12-2008, 03:55 PM I cant wait till ur weaving in and out of traffic and some1 jams on their brakes. Say goodbye to focus.
HaveBlue83 07-12-2008, 04:21 PM sounds like fun InFocus.........I do it when i meet up with guys too sometimes[:)]
+1 for SVT brakes......[:)]
everyone has thier vice. Driving like that is his and mine...so lay off.......I will NEVER stop...just like you won't put that cigarette down, or that bottle, or those pills, or those women........[thumb]
DB08Focus 07-12-2008, 04:23 PM alright. umm i donno about how canadians drive when they're in canada, but i just wanna say that i HATE when a canadian is infront of me on the road. in florida there's nothing but families or old people on vaca in florida and all they do is poke and act like they dont know the rules of the road. as far as that guy speed racing on a freeway, not so smart but it's not like we're gonna talk any sense to him.
have a nice day [:D]
spacegravity4me 07-12-2008, 11:06 PM Look, i'm gonna sorta back the guy on this, though I wouldn't do as many risky moves as it sounds he has. If ALL the traffic is going 100 mph, you'd better do it to otherwise there will be accidents. Now, if they are all going fast, being safe, and just getting to work faster at 110, why not, but zig zagging through traffic and racing is asking for a collision at almost any speed. It's the idiots in the other cars you have to watch out for. You can know what you are doing and have it all planned out in your mind and suddenly some one can change lanes and boom. If it where a video game or a movie, then i'd be like, ok, cause the cars won't change lanes, it'll all be predictable. But it isn't, and when that soccer mom decides to do something you don't expect, well you know. But as far as what is right, if the cops don't care then make your own rule to limit yourself. Just cause the cops don't care if you go 120 mph, doesn't mean you should, because you should be able to think, hey, that's a bad idea and it could harm me or others. I don't think it makes it necessarily wrong when you do it either. It's a human law, it's fake, it does not exist. YOU do exist though, and I think that you should use your judgment very wisely. I have no problem with adults making their own decisions, that's kinda the point, but set boundaries for yourself, your safety, and the safety of others. There's been plenty of times I've been late for work and knew I could get away with going really fast, but the variables go through the roof and it's just not worth the risk. For one, my car isn't made for 100 constantly, so something could go wrong there and at that speed, i'm screwed. Also, it be different if everyone where going 100+ but they aren't, so your odds of impact increase as well. Not to mention that I can be going 40 down the road threw town and have people pull right out in front of me into my lane knowing perfectly well that I could slam into them! I hate that. So if it's unnerving at 40, it's deadly at 100. Just saying, going over the limit to keep up with traffic and stuff can be fine, but not just flooring it and being wreck less at 100+. That would just be scary. See what I'm saying? If I know I can go 90 and get to work on time... alive, and so is everyone else, or I could go 120, I'm going to go 90, because it's just more sensible and less likely to cause an accident. It's common sense.

he wont hit them because he is a great driver(and none of us are)he'll just go around the at 100+
theWorst 07-12-2008, 11:27 PM lol.....

Exactly, I don't understand why everyone is pounding this guy for speeding. I'm sure we all do something unwise in our lives. Granted they don't post their own topics about it and I know its against the rules to be talking about racing and speed, but you'd be insulting my intelligence to have me believe someone with a turbocharger, or a plethora of engine mods doesn't exceed the speed limit or anything similar on a regular or semi-regular basis.
TnFocus 07-12-2008, 11:51 PM We all do it from time to time, careful or not, great driver or not. It's illegal, unsafe, stupid, and puts others in danger. There's no use to bring these subjects up... For the simple facts: against the forum rules, admitting that you pretty much don't care to put yourself and others in danger, and we all know that the next street sign aint gonna show you your lap/drag time. :P
NintendoSkater 07-13-2008, 12:00 AM and we all know that the next street sign aint gonna show you your lap/drag time. :P
bahahahah thats the funniest thing I've heard all week [hihi]

its the speeding its the racing in and out of traffic. you're right most people speed at some time but say it is okay because the cops dont care is plain stupid.
