Sup guys, just stoppin in.

I hop on this forum every once in a while just to see whats new. You probably won't ever catch me at a FDLV meet but if you see me on the streets feel free to say whats up.

The car is a 2008 4dr auto that I just got it in March, its bassicly my beater and gets all the miles 4 days a week while the other car hibernates in the garage (she only comes out to play on Fridays or upon request from someone with a little $$$)

Here are some pics of the focus, click the link for more...

no offense, but for how big that engine is (6.0L ibelieve), it gets shit for power. What do you have done to it?

I bet with the right tune Ryan could give you a run for your money.

What kind of ET's is Ryan running?

How do you figuire that its not making good power?

a LS2 6.0 is 68 HP / liter (using 12% loss and stock 360 RWHP)
a Hemi 6.1 is 69 HP / liter
a Ford 4.6 is 65 HP / liter (3v all motor)
a 08 focus is 70 HP / liter

Everything seems to be pretty damn close, whats your opinion on what is "good" power for that size ?

FWIW with my mods (cam and exhaust), my GTO is closer to 90ish HP/Liter (again based on 12% loss and dyno numbers)

Currently its in pieces waiting on a new clutch.

Wow, not bad times for a little focus, then again at 15 PSI you are pretty much doubling your stock power. That car must be fun to drive as light as it is.

I'm still curious about the logic that the 6.0 gets shit for power for its size? I'd like to hear more of the reasoning behind that comment, or see a similar size V8 pushrod engine that is significantly more efficient stock for stock.

I haven't made a pass in my GTO yet (I hate LVMS) so I couldn't tell you what it runs but with a slipping clutch it did hang less then half a car behind a F150 Lightning (that ran a 12.6 3 days later) from 25-130 and after that aerodynamics took over and I passed him about 145 although after I get the rest of this crap installed and tuned it should have about 100 HP more then it did then.

I'd love to take a ride in your focus Ryan, I am trying to convince the woman to let me turbo hers but I haven't seen a kit for the 08 yet.

in all honesty the GTO has plenty of power stock. compared to say a stock mustang GT.. and ryans car is a e-ticket ride... and there is a turbo kit for the 08 Focus, by FocusSport (speed channel's: street tuner challenge Winners)

Then I stand corrected. I was talking to a buddy of mine couple weeks ago who's a GM fan and he said the GTO get's shit for power. His words not mine, sorry if it sounded like I knew b/c I don't.

No worries.

If he is a GM fan then he should know that the LS2 (6.0 GTO engine) is based off of the C5 Corvette Z06 engine (same heads, same cam), and the LS2 is also in the 2005-2007 Corvette, 2005-2006 Trailblazer SS, 2006-2007 Caddilac CTS-V, and the newest SSR.

mdfords, I checked out that FocusSport turbo kit, thanks.
