I just got the SCT chip from FocusSport for testing. I'll install it this weekend. It has the capability for four programs from mild to wild with the turn of a switch. It is also VERY adaptable. So hold your horses dammit!!

The simple mantra of "air in, air out" will help you the best.

As for a stock SPI:

Raise rev limits, lose the speed limiter, better shifts (autos only), slightly better fuel economy (a moot point because you have to run 92 octane), ability to change idle parameters. The SCT chip I'm testing for FS has 4 programs from stock to wild. I installed it yesterday in my autotragic and was quite pleased. Keep in mind I replaced the Diablo with the SCT and it blew the Diablo away. I want to stomp it into pieces and send it back to Johan @ Diablo.

So a good air intake and good exhaust is what you are saying. I hope to go to a FocusSport stealth exhaust in the couple of months(depends on budget). Maybe Christmas will be intake time.

To get decent power out of an NA SPI be prepared to get all the boltons..the chip...and a cam.

Yes you do. Otherwise you may get detonation. Detonation=bad news.

As for the other part of air in/out, you may consider a good port and polish. I have a head that's done, just no time to install it. If you go with a cam, be sure to get the Adj. cam gear from BDR.
